I went to University of Toledo from 1982 - 1986. One of the best time for me learning about the culture & the lives of people in Toledo. Despite being thousand of miles away from my country, people in Toledo made me felt welcomed.
That new cable stayed bridge is magnificent, but the Anthony Wayne Bridge, a suspension bridge, remains a work of art. Dad was an Owens-Illinois Glass Co. man, and we lived in Toledo during much of my youth. Longfellow, Nathan Hale, and Ottawa Hills High were great public schools. The Toledo Museum of Art is world class. The waters of Lake Erie make Toledo a picturesque port on the Great Lakes. This is a very good video created no doubt with pride.
Thank you for your comments. Actually the "ferri" you are referring to was the "Arawanna Princess" which served until the 1980's at the Port of Toledo. The boat in the video is that of the "Detroit Princess" which is still in service and serves the Detroit area. The "Detroit Princess" made a visit to Toledo in 2007 in celebration of the new Veteran's Glass City Skyway opening.
