Wouldn't a "rammed-earth" home do pretty much everything you set out to accomplish with your stick framed home? Only with the added benefit of being more structurally solid, fire resistant, not requiring all that insulation, all that calking, the copper roof, and the oxidized wood siding, ect?

I’m a Clevelander who just recently heard of the passive home movement. I love the short term thought and energy that is being invested in the name of long term efficiency. I love seeing that this is happening in my home state!
