I'm an Over-the-road (OTR) truck driver, and if the longshoreman think they are underpaid, they simply need to look at the truck driver's wages. Dozens of large trucking companies have gone under this year and no idea how many small companies, and not one finger has been raised to help the industry. Imagine a trucker strike.

What is a dollar worth? Fast food workers in CA get $40k a year. Grown men in brown shorts and brown step vans get $140k delivering parcels. Plane drivers with those parcels get $200k to $400k to deliver them. Cops getting $400k with overtime. Highest paid life guard in CA got $510k in 2021 up from $443k in 2020. A friend's recent non stem college grad son just got $117k plus a $20k signing bonus for his first job. Insanity or just worthless money.

Everyone understands this will increase ALL PRICES in the stores we buy from... right??? AUTOMATION IS THE FUTURE OF THIS WORLD... The fight is for more pay.... obviously however your just milking the cow, and soon jobs like these will NOT exist because of cervos, sensors and tech that will literally do it ALL I worked in factory most of my life and watched this SAME technology take over jobs and do better more efficient work It's the future and people need to GET WITH THE PROGRAM or get left behind sure to shear STUBBORNNESS

Wonderful. And then we would be relying upon California's ports where they mandate only trucks built after 2010 can pick up cargo. The ports won't be able to speed up when they don't have the trucks to do it.
