I found that same model at a flea market that i bought for 15 dollars along with a Sony boombox and a copy of Forrest Gump on VHS. The carrying bag was a little beat up but it came with all the cables. I’ve used it for a year and still works like a charm. I’m never gonna sell it
I have an old Toshiba portable DVD player that I first got for my birthday in 2012. It still is in good condition! The only problem is that the battery life has got pretty bad, it doesn't even last 2 hours now. But there's no point in replacing the battery if I don't use it much. I now own a portable blu ray player by Sony
This player is very similar to the Panasonic DVD-LV75 that came out in 2000 and retailed for $1,190. A lot of times other companies will buy up internal components or have the company do a production run of a player to their designs but using older interior components they already have the dies and machinery to easily produce. You’ll see the same thing used with Walkman type portable cassette players since Sony owned a couple other big brand names and it was easier to use previous designs/surplus parts.
btw if you are wondering why Track 1 doesn't play for the PS1 disc, it's because that is the track that contains game data. Since the CD/DVD/Blu-ray player can't tell the difference between a game data track and a regular track, it will translate the game data into a playable audio creating high amounts of static and causing CD players to melt mercury. That's why many companies out there put warnings onto the next track available, called Track 2. I tried it before when I was testing foreign discs and accidently blasted out high amounts of static from my Xbox One that was connected to my TV. Luckily, that TV's speaker never blew up.
Literally just bought one early today from goodwilly and it only lasted 30 minutes 😭 Put on Sailor moon and half way through it, dark screen and by by ... smh Let it run for more than 30 minutes amd see if it sticks around for those who cop from thrift stores

I have a DVD Player too but i don’t use Ipad , Computer , TV , Phone... I use ONLY DVD Player and i loveee my DVD Player. I have too much CD for DVD Player. I have soooo much CD. And today i say bye to this IPad and i never use RU-vid again because i have a DVD Player. Bye bye RU-vid!
