I came across this bit of kit on you tube when you were showcasing your small camper. I have just sold my 'standard' van to go down the smaller van route and this is a great solution for the amount of power i require. Just something to note, I have seen a diy PSU on youtube, i was considering building it prior to seeing your van demonstration. I costed the components to approx £100 and that would not include a mains charger and the inverter facility. Looking at the retail price, for me, it represents really good value for money. Enjoyed your presentation video. Regards Mike, County Durham
Your putting together a great setup. For a small camper van the power pack is great. I was going down the route of investigating one of the jump starter power packs. They also power devices and are a backup if you break down. Will have to investigate if you can trickle charge them. Many thanks.
Thanks for this video. I was wondering if something like this would be good enough for a little camper. I'd probably only use it to power a kettle and maybe a little fridge, not keen on the idea of trying to fit electrics in 😅
Thanks for the video! I read on a product review for this that it can charge a smart phone 50 times. Any idea if this is correct? Hoping to purchase one for festivals for our whole group to use as a charger 😁
James Turner I’m sure it would. I’ve powered a cb whilst extreme dxing, using a Lithium battery, do assume this would be much the same, just with more bells and whistles...
Im sure it would power a small 12v TV, with regards how long it would stay charged for would be down to how long you use the TV for and whether you have a solar panel linked to the PPT Powerpack... maybe check out the specs, here : amzn.to/2XSHldq
I've just brought this battery with a 20w panel that was from the ppt website. I have connected the solar panel up but the battery doesnt charge. The screen doesnt even seem to respond to it being plugged in. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??
@@JesterBushcraft thanks for your response. I've figured it out now, I contacted ppt and they said I have to cover the solar panel before connecting then uncover when connected which isnt ideal but did work.
Hi, as I’ve mentioned my Berlingo is the earlier model, I.9 diesel. Brilliant car/weekend camper. Which model, engine is yours and any tips come the sad day when mine needs replacing. Thanks.
Night Wolf 1.6 diesel XTR, for versatility I think this is a great vehicle. I’d probably go for petrol version next time and perhaps not bother with xtr package (more interior space)...
I want some way of keeping my milk cold overnight in a hotel. I’m thinking of a small cool box - any idea how long this battery pack will keep a cooler going before it runs out?
Jo Fuji I think it all depends on the size of cool box. I have tried my 8litre cool box and it didn’t last too long, but the Powerpack had been used prior. Maybe one of those 12v cool bags (without a fan) May last longer. I’ll do a proper test and let you know...
Not selling my kit now, my new broke down so he give me my car back.. so hopefully we'll meet up and discuss our setup on video together if you are interested in doing that atb Daz
I bought one of these. Torch is very disappointing. USBs are slow, old days charging. Inverter good for fast charging. Too long to charge up by todays standards. Accessories are very handy
Cables really stress me out. I've been looking at goal zero because they look simple lol, but pricey. I don't understand the whole mc 4 cables and so on.
Jikan the MC4 cables are a solar panel standard type connector, which then connects to the Powerpack via the included cable. Unfortunately you have to use cables sometimes...
