Thanks for the review. The selling point for me was the RV plug. I've never seen that on one before. I have a smaller 600 watt power station that I love since it is small and portable but was super disappointed that it wouldn't run a supposed 200 watt ice maker. Turns out the ice maker actually has a short spike to 620 watts, ugh. So driving into town every couple of days for ice during this heat wave has been a pain. I am off grid and usually get by with very little energy needs, but this 110+ degree weather is kicking my butt. Doesn't help that the RV cooks like an oven inside, ugh. Hopefully this unit will make life more bearable.
Hi Cherylwmh, Energy requirements for some of items can be way up there when you would not think it would be for sure. Yes, hopefully you will find it very useful.
$1400 is not "cheap" or "budget". I have far less than that in my Renogy system that has powered my daughter's teardrop camper, our refrigerator, my rooftop tent lights and outlets, and a video projector and never left us without power
My solar lamps have to be plugged into electricity to work. The benefit of them is to have light without running in and out to turn them on and off. Are there solar bulbs that do not need to be connected to an outlet?
There are various lights, lanterns and some outdoor light fixtures that are solar powered, but any for indoors will need a connection to power or recharging from time to time. The best indoor solution seems to be a battery powered (rechargeable) lantern for indoors. Hope this helps.
It depends on the power requirements of the freezer, but generally speaking it should run the freezer and several other things. If you know the power requirements of the freezer I can help you figure out if the unit can power it and for how long.
