He looks exactly like what I thought Wheatley would look like if he were human, wtf.

I love Wheatley so much. He got so confused and couldn't handle all that power, so he turned bad. When he was released, he ended up regretting his decisions, unlike Glados, who was still super low key, even if she saved you. He was a confused little robot who I still think is the cutest A.I in all fictional existence.

My favourite thing about Wheatley was his facial expressions, hes a fucking robot and has so much character on his face

I've only just got around to playing Portal 2, and can't believe how utterly perfect Merchant was for Wheatley. They couldn't have cast someone better.

I'd pay a small fortune to have Karl in some form of DLC just questioning everything and constantly griping about either how pointless the whole testing process is or arguing with Wheatley. I'd be too busy laughing at that to play the game! XD

I loved playing Portal 2. Wheatley was my favorite~

Also. Props to the people who did the movement for Wheatley. It’s amazing how much personality they can put into a metal ball with a big blue eye.

I went into Portal 2 blind after playing the first game, and I was completely blown away by Wheatley's voice. It fit him so well: nervous and confused yet charming. Merchant as Wheatley is an example of perfect casting

Wheatley turning evil WAS the least expected thing for me, not just in game, but in any medium of entertainment ever. I never once expected this lovable awesome funny dude to turn so wrong. The whole time he was turning evil I was barking at my screen saying "Wheatley no! Wheatley you're better than this come on! I believe in you Wheatley don't do this!". The whole time that he was evil I never quite hated him as much as I hated Glados, I just wanted him to come back to being himself.

He actually looks like how I'd picture Wheatley if he was a human.

He did an amazing job on wheatly's voice. He is hillarous. Like at the end when he was explaining the cards and the puppet strings. And the extra bit of dialog most people missed!

I can't switch tabs without thinking it's a clip from the game.

"Portals, what are they knocking about ? I mean what's the point of making holes in a wall, get something to eat watch' telly, don't jump around like some knobhead, does my head in..." Something like this would Karl said if they called him for the role :D

OMG YES! I love Stephen Merchant! He cracks me up, the extremely tall and lanky man whom I adore! No wonder I laughed all the time during the game.

when you hear portal is a puzzle game it sounds really boring but thats the best puzzle game i ever played

I remember when Wheatley turned bad... broke my heart... it really did. Every time I watch that clip I still feel as if I'm watching it for the first time, the same crushing feeling of a friend leaving you. I think Stephan did a fantastic job with the Wheatley character because he added to the charm and likeability of the already charming character. Yet, when Wheatley turns bad you can still find some glimpses of the same old likeable Wheatley but he's burried deep within his hunger for power.

Wheatley is one of the most hopeless characters I've ever encountered in a video game but that hopelessness has a very lovable charm to it, which is why he is (beside GLaDOS, no matter how much bad she's done i can't bring myself to hate her) my favourite character ever! I do hope someday there will be a Portal 3 and we get Wheatley back once and for all!

The Body made Wheatley Evil. It gave him an urge to test all the time, and turned him evil. At the end of the game he wishes he could apologize and says he would take it all back.

That laugh in portal 2 where Wheatley starts to loose it still sends chills down my spine.
