sorry, don't really understand the question...thx! glad you enjoyed the video...going out tomorrow...its been raining for a few days so i'm sure it will be muddy...watch out for a new video in a few weeks !
@roverdogs_keithwhelchel nice! Went out a lot in winter when I had 33s... always fun...seen a lot of vids on RU-vid from winter romp and looked into last week online...are winter tires really mandatory? I guess I could always buy chains to get around that rule... usually do t have a problem with mud terrain tires in offroad in winter...will be putting on a back winch before then as well...
Man that set up is beautiful. I was researching portals for a Disco 2 several months ago and didn’t find anyone running them. Too bad they’re so damn expensive.
Is not so expensive if you start calculating how much investments you need to run on stock axles 37"tires,suspension,caster correction arms,HD driveshafts, regearing, and many more...the beauty in this portals is-you bolt them on your stock axles and run 37 tires in two days
@@LandRunner84 exactly! Made the calculations before and portals make more sense... gained approx 35% torque with the portals and made for exact set up I have
@@4x4adventurecanada10 I'd love a set for my Rover here in the US but sounds like getting them may be a bit difficult at the moment. How hard were they to fit? Its a sick build for sure man, love it
@@matth4069 fairly simple to mount. But its the fine tuning afterward...getting the breaks just right was a issue...I reinforced the frame and the axles due to all the extra weight from portals and bigger tires...i also bent a steering knuckle (still needs to be fixed) Need to get a back swing arm fabricated...37s too heavy for the door... and it goes on and on !
@4x4adventurecanada10 I've dealt with a few of those problems because of my 37s too. My solution to saving the rear door's life was to get a rear bumper with a swing arm attached for the spare. I put on hydraulic assist on the steering to save the steering gear box's very expensive life. Didn't forsee the brake issues though
