One thing that people keep confusing with the portals are, they only work with the current galaxy you are in, means if someone shares their code, make sure you are in the same galaxy. Otherwise the code will most likely transport you to a whole different area,

I have gotten codes and put them into a portal i found, didnt check the galaxy and worked everytime

Thats because everyone spawns in the same galaxy-euclid and 95% of ppl stay there and share coordinates for that galaxy@@antonioturner3835

In fact it will transport you to the exact same coordinates of the Galaxy, doesn't matter which galaxy you are. So yes, you'll be on a different system because on a different galaxy, so maybe even a different star colour, but if the coordinates brings you to the closest star from the Galaxy center, it will bring you close to the Galaxy center no matter which galaxy you are in.

@@brewen_lmrch untrue, the portal codes aren't like that, that's why even in ship hunting, the portal code also has the system tied to it. The portal codes are not directly related to distance from the center.

Help, I’m at still on mission that required me to talk to atlas and gain the atlas words, I even skipped some of the light floor at the 4-5 atlas base before I realized if I stepped on it will gave me the knowledge 😂

@@jordirtwl3446 i could be wrong but i had the impression that after i installed some translater upgrades that it also worked with those lights giving me more words, also just in case youre not already at that stage after the questline is finished and you keep going to new atlas interfaces to show them wonders you get around 600 nanites and two warpcells for free eacht ime😊

@jordirtwl3446 you don't need to learn atlas words specifically, it just requires you to learn any words, "korvax, vykeen, gek" you can learn them easily by finding word pillars all over plantes or just talking to aliens on space stations.

I made a small research facility next to a portal. I also used pipes and bubble ducts. Small, but one of my favorites.

1. Go to space station, keep buying Alien Cartographic Charts and using them until it points you to a Monolith 2. Go to the monolith, solve the puzzle (you can save scum if needed). Click locate portal (requires a korvax casing, vykeen dagger, or gek relic depending on system)

Not any system, you can travel in the system you are currently in to any planet in the same system by its planet address.

If youre a newer player like me just do the Artemis questline it gives you all the glyphs you ned in three sets towards the end of it, i tried the other way before of searching for travellers on space stations because my quest got bugged but a jump trough a black hole solved it and it wad way easier😊

Tip with portals if you try to reach the center of the galaxy: you only need the first glyph. Spam it and you will get to a system around 5000 ly from the center.

I got mine from an ancient relic stone. After I answered the question right I asked to find about the past and got directed to a nearby portal already on the planet. I was incredibly shocked. I probably got super lucky tho lol Vy’kyeen is the total hook ups lmao

My only advice about portals save before you go through it put a base next to it if you're not going to use it and if it's already activated don't go through it without saving and save a few for special like runs for s- class items

To each their own, but it seems strange to play a game like No Man's Sky, a game built around grinding money and resources, and just skip the grinding. But hey, each player bought their own copy, so they should play the way they want.

None of the freighters are at the systems listed. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but everything else I portal to is there except for the freighters. It's never the same kind of freighters shown. I've tried pulsing around looking at the system ships and jumping back in during the pirate rescue. They're all the wrong types. Any ideas?

I love star citizen definitely enjoy it for the simulation ship combat experience and mmo aspect, and I enjoy no mans sky for the exploration and crafting/basebuilding, hopefully SC will have that one day, Chrissy Robby boy needs to pull his thumb out of his ass tho and hurry df up.

sums up how the game has gone down hill in it's quest to draw the masses. Everything easy everything now. 18 quintillion planets and you don't need to look for anything or explore. just log in. get glyphs, jump to everything you want. Sure it's more popular now. This is what it takes to be popular. Got to be easy. And youtube channels milk this for views and money.
