All oring mount baords have slightly bit of hollowness or pingy but this is the best one I've heard hands down in a while. The alphas have that great clack/pop it's very nice. The thing that makes oring nouns like this so good is that it feels just right imo for flex/feel. I still like the mode65 alot though. Both clacky imo but the mode65 has a good sound both do tbh. I like the versatility of the mode65 also you were using cro the mode65 of course will have more clack and it's a half plate on the mode65. Can't really compare them that way as its two completely different builds. This board is not deep the cro helped it out. All other builds are very clacky on the portal which I like alit. If you did a full plate on the mode65 it's tone would of been much more similiar. Great build though sounds amazing tbh. Best 65 oring I've seen in years tbh with the way it sounds. Even the flex it's a hit more then most with oring it's probably just right imo lol.

Any noticeable differences between raeds and snags? Besides spring weight. Shipping from NZ is no joke.

oh, the snags are early versions of the raed 2.0, which is different from the raed 1.5

Which, in your subjective opinion, sounds better? Also, you were partially unclear on the vod. “I prefer this one, points to portal”. Next “Actually I prefer this one”, points to mode. Can someone clarify this for me please?

After using both of them, I prefer the MODE65 due to sound and typing feel. Doesn't mean the Portal is a bad board though!

I am making this decision too. I could pick up a Portal on mm or for the same price get a Mode65. What did you decide on getting?

@@lilrowbear I bought two Mode65’s 😂 portal looks cool but that’s really all it has going for it. Mode65 is so customizable and has three different mounting styles.

There can’t be other “versions” of a switch since the all will have different stems making them a whole new switch but there is another switch that is in the same line called the aeboards naevy
