Really nice mix. A little bit of high end is missing form the vocals in the mix and crash I pumping out of the mix. For vocals you can probably boost the mid end of the stereo signal so the can come out a bit more. For the crash get some high end on it. I think you have a reverb on your crash, lower it a bit if you have one. Over all excellent mixing
Honestly, I think the high end is stuff is a global thing rather than just the vocals. This version is quite a bit more dynamic so this remake simply hasnt been mastered as hard as Porter's stuff. Porter's crashes are less bright and tucked away more in the background to let the snare come through. There is definitely reverb on them but it sounds mono and almost sounds low passed. For accuracy purposes Lachlan would need to pull them back and cut some highs and bring out the snare more, but it's subjective really. I almost like the way the tone of the crashes more in this version, but they are a bit too forward in the mix. Either way, seriously a great job. You have a great ear. Wish I could compare.
