@@agnome3777 Actually they would have to pay on it for the next 3200 years because that’s how long that tree can live these trees are actually quite impressive but people need to realize you cannot plant these even remotely close to a house I see this all the time in the Portland area since these trees are not native to Oregon
@@agnome3777 Maybe the community should buy the tree, donate it to the city and the city should tear it down and leave the lot open or landscaped for a greenbelt in that neighborhood.
It's a beauty! At the foot of it I see you have some redwood sorrel and a live oak, too. We have a gorgeous 75 year old semperviron growing in my neighbor's yard. We love it & it smells wonderful when we are out in back.
Thank you for covering this. I wonder, did the tree survive? Such a shame what the city is doing. As foolish as the fools who cut down the vast majority of these trees back in the 1800’s and in the early 20th century. They did it just for money and without any love for nature.
just another instance of out of control government trying to take an easy way out.... Seriously that tree is worth more than that POS of a house that is there.
I hope everyone on the block plants a Redwood in their yard.. there are many videos of Guerrilla Tree Planting in parks, public places, Highway medians and on areas hard to get to.. they grow extremely fast and within 5 years can be 15-30 feet tall if they have enough water and sunlight… 2,6 even 10 feet tall a year is common…
From Medford Oregon all the way past Everett Wa and on parts of the Columbia River you'll find some of the most magnificent Giant Sequoia Redwood trees. The house appears to be abandoned and boarded up. Surely something can be done to buy the house from the owner and let the city create a greenbelt or greenspace for that community or neighborhood.
I just looked it up.. it was poisoned 🤮.. and I don’t think it made it… really sick people.. but the Wild Fire in Kings Canyon in 23 was terrible.. because the forest are Not Managed correctly… they Stop small fires and let the dead brush build up.. thus causing an intense fire that killed them all… but the idiots blame climate change.. you can’t fire climate change… but these idiots should be fired immediately
Save the tree and remove that shitty looking house, the tree has more value than the house. Best thing to do is start a fundraiser and buy that house and then tear it down.
