I lived in my car after my husband died. I was unhoused immediately because I didn't make enough to cover the rent on my own. I'm a veteran but there is no places for female veterans. Thankfully I was able to get into a shelter. Thanks to the good people who helped me, I'm almost back on my own again. Not all homeless people are on drugs and alcohol. I am one who is 100%sober. I can now give back to the community! ❤ The shelter I'm in there are 20 women. 1 is actually a man -tran - spends his day smoking meth. The shelter is afraid if they throw him out- there will be a lawsuit. We all think he's a predator because of his disgusting behavior. He bullys the disabled. 3 are in school 6 are elderly and severely disabled 4 are working 1 is recovering from broken legs. The rest do nothing with their day.
Not necessary to point out that "one of them is a man trans". They are a person in need; their gender identity is completely irrelevant, and it makes it seem as if you are trying to make a connection between their gender identity with their other issues, which is unfair to other people who struggle with their gender identity. Just say "there is a person here who has so and so issue". Thats it.

Did she just state “putting strain on the people who live on the street”. ??? What? What about the strain on the working class that have to deal with the eye sore of the homeless and the issues that they bring with them where ever they go. They have no responsibilities and no repercussions when they do wrong. But let’s make them the victim.
