@Bezalel Jaeger 308 It's funny because, as I say elsewhere, I don't think this is at all about cancel culture. They probably wouldn't do this in quite the same way in 2021, given how things have escalated. (I know it existed back then, but not to anywhere near this extent.)
Not at all. Cancel it just means cancelling things. This video triggers these folks who have a thing about cancel culture and how it’s ‘’cancelling everyone’’
These days “cancel” will immediately bring to mind the cancelling of a (usually) public person for going against the ideology of the progressive left. That’s a very different idea from what the video is using cancel to denote. My comment in no way sounds as if I’m triggered or complaining. It’s just a simple statement pointing out the difference idea “cancel it” has come to since the video was made. Let’s all just laugh a little more and be mad a little less.
I don’t make plans with anyone I go out alone and make friends along the way. It gets lonely sometimes when if stay home too much but at least my life is drama free it’s incredible
and when you decide to cancel it, call me for the perfect excuse (that i will vouch for) i'm a doctor, a dentist, a boss, anything you need me to be, i mean, how much is a peace of mind worth? $100? yep, and you don't have to listen to your greedy boss blubber about how "he couldn't do it without you".
@@marinangelov the whole show was basically made to sell real estate. All the trendiness did that this show gave the city was deepen the class division and made the city less diverse. After the chaos and crime of the past few years this show has been off the air….it just looks dated…also long time Portlanders hated it from the get go…..it was so tone-deaf from the first sketch
Love this couple. I was having explosive diahrea and was watching them and laughing and exploding at the same time and now Jane is certain that I'm insane
This showed up while i'm procrastinating getting ready for church ON Sabbath 🙄 but idk if this is a signet not to go, or a temptation not to go. I rly don't feel well. Mental illness is real illness. I wna go, but i don't. Ugh... sentience. 👿
Nowadays you just get shot in Portland. The show actually looks kind of dated even though it’s only a handful of years off the air with how much the city has gone to shit
NO! In fact the notion that “ Portland has no Black people in it” IS EXACTLY THE TYPE OF RACISM OF WHITE LEFTISTS IN THIS CITY! White hipsters just love to pretend that Portland never had any Black people living there at all, that way they can feel less guilty about gentrifying their neighborhoods! Also you’ve never been out to the numbers in East Portland, but don’t worry, neither have Fred and Carrie
@Alexander Hendry If you little Marxist suburban brats had to live through 100 nights of rioting I had to endure last year, you’d understand what it means to live under mob tyranny
@Alexander Hendry no because I have a life…..and don’t feel any on the “class guilt” that make 1st world brats attracted to a shallow and genocidal ideology to show how edgy they are.
You don't like what a comedian says = CANCEL IT! You don't like what a sport guy does = CANCEL IT! You don't like the lyrics to a song from the 1980's = CANCEL IT! You don't like a voice over artist that has been doing the same job for 25 yrs = CANCEL IT! You don't like American History = CANCEL IT! etc - etc - etc -
What's with the influx of people onto this video in the last few days equating this sketch to some sort of statement on cancel culture? Has someone linked it from somewhere? I dislike cancel culture as much as the next man, but I always viewed this as more of a brutally honest and hilarious comment about how often we do things out of duty --- and what some people wish they were able to do. Personally, I just cancel it -- or more likely, don't agree to do it in the first place. :)
