My girlfriend is a fashion stylist and does on almost all my shoots and she always has her "kit" with her which always has a lint roller, safety pins, glues and any sprays that may be needed in case because if we can't have a fitting before the shoot and things are slightly bigger, we can always pin them up or back in case this happens. Yes, always be prepared in case so you always have something to make it through. I live in North Texas an hour from Dallas and most of our shoots are in Dallas, so we have to make sure to always bring extra everything just in case because most models we work with end up being a tad smaller than the measurements they give us.
I find all your content really helpful. Especially this one. To me its so interesting and educational to see the BTS of another photographer and with insides and thoough process put in the shoot. Big THANK YOU!
This was an awesome video.. All props, lighting, shooting, posing and ideas my favourite is when you shared your shots to the model and understand her pov..
Love the knowledge that you are sharing from your photoshoot. And love the fact that you posted all the pictures in RAW then one final edited one so we have a nice understanding of the post production and a good comparison for us to see. Love your channel Eli. You are such an open-book to learn. Thank you.
LOVE this video! SO incredibly helpful to see behind the scenes and get some insight into your thought processes when shooting. PLEASE keep making more of these!!
dude, your work is amazing and I love these type of videos. I am just a grasshopper compared to you but this is really helpful. Last shoot I did, I literally ran out of ideas and we had 20m of blue hour left with nice lights and what not - I had no idea what to do or even try next, lol ... now you’ve given me some new ideas and inspiration. thank you so much 🙏!
"HEY LOSER! IT'S IN PHARR" #CLASSIC. At least you're getting people to respond. You're lucky that no one was using the tennis court for its intended use.
I am curious about what type of focus point are you using and the settings for the focus? For Example, I had a situation where I have two subjects in a car, I shoot through one of the side windows trying to catch both in focus, I think at f8 maybe, but still, I couldn't do that, and after being at home and seeing this as a mistake... oh damn.... I felt so miserable and unlucky...
Eli, great video as always! Question: A lot of these large modifiers come with a small dish that goes on the umbrella pole right in front of the flash head, from what I understand it gives that "beauty-dish" look, but it seems to diffuse the light almost a full stop. I often just take it out, especially if I need more light/power. Do you use them? Ditch them?
I love your work! :) what do you recommend for basic flash setup for hobby users only not for business? affordable and reasonable price for sony a7iii user. do you recommend GODOX TT350S with softbox or Godox LED Video Light SL-60W 5600K for home use only? :) Also, what do you recommend for outdoor flash portable and affordable, and what size of softbox do you recommend for dramatic shot 60cm or 90cm octagon or rectangle softbox? can I achieve that kind of shot using a small flash only like the TT350S or I need bigger flash like the Godox AD200Pro? thank you! :)
Hi from Corpus. How do you prep locations like this from snakes and pests. Some of my subjects are nervous when I ask them to get into a field or grass.
Shannon Musial Great question. Here in our area we don’t have much snakes. I still do scout the area before I have someone sit. As for the pests I always bring bug spray to my shoots.
aloha brah., dope videos man. ilove your work. fan from hawaii here. just wondering. do you pay these models ? how do you get income from doing this ?? thanks brotha. alohassss
