yes, no bias, one does not need to be French to see this film should have had so much acclaim here in U.S. I did not even know about this film til stumbling across it recently on Hulu. I generally do not go into a foreign film blind, but I hit play and have never been the same since. I agree it deserved so much more. Celine created something so beautiful and special. These performances, the unforgettable lines, the silence, the looks, the care and time to unfold this love story. The roller coaster of emotions in finale where I forgot to breathe. No film has ever affected me like this….
