Although people are trying ship Adele and Noemie, the real love story is Celine’s deep and abiding love ❤️ for Adele. She has created a cinematic masterpiece in Portrait Of A Woman On Fire and Adele is her muse. This movie is likely the greatest love story of the 21st century. It is transcendent. It has touched the soul of millions of people all over the world including mine. Though they are not together they are forever bonded in spirit. Adele herself was touched enough to have .28 tattooed on her left hand. It is all so profound.
I think the ending was magnificent, it was as if Marianne still had a piece of Héloïse, even if it wasn’t physical but rather musically. I took it as Héloïse and Marianne could still feel each other’s presence, even if they never notice each other. That’s just my take though
It was sad on the surface. It did make me cry. But I felt happy afterwards and I think there was a very positive takeaway; a “lost love” is never lost. “Never regret, remember.”
For me the ending couldn't have been better (unless they ended up together, of course, but nobody was expecting a cliche happy ending). First she sees the painting, the book's page open to number 28, wow! Then the stunning concert hall scene. Extraordinary film.
Watching it in the movies truly made the experience much better! Some of my friends have watched it on their computer and I just can't stand the idea lol
Parasite is a 'foreign' movie and it was bombarded with nasty criticism... Its a good thing it was given that much attention. I think POALOF was only anticipated by the lgbtq+ community. I only found out about it a few months ago!
It reminded me more so of Celine and Adele, I think Celine even laughed when Adele mentioned the film. They were actually together and there's a similar kind of age difference.
03:24 this film really is home to me, and it really did what Adèle said. There's so much missing and this film gave me so much of it. It's feels like coming home

A big usse of those two gorgeous actresses is the lack of decent english. Otherwise they could be Hollywood material. But everybody knows that the best movies are produced outside Hollywood and "Portrait of a lady on fire" is just an example of that. Amazing story and amazing acting. I still can't get over the movie! What a pity that Adéle gave up the acting - I hope it's only temporary!
I’ve seen all the interviews of this movie, these interviews need to get creative. They all ask the same boring questions, I feel bad for these 3 that they have to repeat themselves several times. I recommend they give a look on Charlie’s Angels or Ocean 8 cast interviews and learn how to make the interview more fun and catchy for both them and us And since it’s a French movie, I’d like it if we have these interviews in French, because speaking another language is like another you, you’ll use only words you know and the meanings won’t find their way to be expressed
I love that, not just because off my gay ass, that movie is soo fucking deep and a breath of freash air, even in a patriarcal society scenario, they were free for a week, and soo did we, it was not a movie about violence or trying to say “BUT THAT’s how it was back in the day, women were abused that’s why we show abuse” no, it was depicting other things that also compounded women’s lives, and had shown the most authentic minds that I’ve seen in época movies soo far
