On the blemish layer, I am following your instructions. Activate the blemish layer. Select the healing brush. I will Alt-click to select an area but nothing happens when I apply. Not sure what is wrong.

I've been telling people for years to remove blemishes after you smooth the skin. The act of smoothing skin, automatically removes most of the blemishes. Great content!!!
Here we are a year later with Firefly AI Generative Fill in Beta, can you redo this video using this same photo and show us how to do the same retouching using the new Generative Refill, just for fun? It would be interesting to see how easy it goes and how fast. Would you just lasso each small area and do a fill? And what would Generative Fill give you? Thank god I have hundreds of photos backed up. Corporate editing is so specific so to have action so versatile might have just saved me hours. The actions I have set up for the same purposes are way too extensive to go this fast and efficiently. You’re amazing.
These videos are much shorter and on single topics. My course library goes much more in depth during each project or course. usually 1 to 1.5 hours of education where I cover a topic from soup to nuts! :)
Once you run the action, its definitely possible to fill in all the masks by just painting with white. It does take a little bit of learning but its an easy way to polish up portraits in a productive way.

I am not sure why, every time I follow anyone's tutorial, it never happens in my PS. I do not get the notice you mention about continue on. I hit control/alt on my PC. Nothing, even with the AI installed. Nothing but a bunch of dings every time I hit those keys. All I have is my image in layers and nothing from your program. Could you tell me what I am doing wrong? I keep going back over what you are saying. But noting in my layers, I see the AI in actions panel. That is it. So how does your program work?
Hi James, there are too many variables for me to mention here. Id make sure your Actions Panel is not in button mode. Is the action properly creating the layers its supposed to? Try running the action on a flat file with only one layer, and make sure that single layer is named "Background". Hope this helps!

When I run the action I keep getting an error message saying the "select" command is not active. After the action finishes running, there is no change to my head shot. Any idea what's going on?
Gee… over 200 commands - my PS is in German and PS is still not able to recognize English commands. I will have to re-record everything that PS doesn‘t recognize. So basically every layer that hasn‘t been renamed. I wish there would be an action to „translate“ actions 😆
I would love to see a video of you using this on a person who has freckles. That always seems to be my struggle, working with people who have freckles.
The best way to deal with freckles is to use frequency separation (watch my video on it - blue shirt with polkadots). You want your freckles to remain on the texture and tone layer so they are protected! Best of luck!

Hi There Kenneth! I just updated my photoshop and ran the Full retouch workflow action (previously called the "portrait in a pinch" action.) And it worked for me. Can you please let me know the exact error message you are receiving ?

I bought this action a few months ago, and after the latest Photoshop update, I got the notification that this action is not compatible with this version of Photoshop. What is the workaround?
Kristina this is an awesome action, thank you very much. I have a few other portrait touch-ups from you via various PS4 seminars etc, does this now supercede them all ?
if you mean other actions, this one does replace a previous single action mainly becuase it includes the neural filters which are a recent addition. But having lots of tools is so important to speed up the process
@@leonflack5673 yes please dont delete anything! This action does not include any brushes. So best to just keep them all. You can rename the old ones "old" at the end of the action name so you gone get confused. But delete os a four letter word in my opinion!
