do it again, in the newest Firmware version, the portrait mode can use the 3x zoom. so, you can choose between main camera wide, cropped main camera wide or real zoom lens.

Yes. Somedays ago, I am worried about that. Specially that liquid lens xiomi is working on. Then I thought that you cannot shoot wedding with that fucking smartphone. Still professional cameras are the best. They can never replace physical cameras.
@@timothylewis4619 Eh, not really. Even if the camera in the smartphone itself will be good, it will not mean that everyone will be able to take good photos. It takes A LOT of shooting and effort to become a good photographer. Also it's not about the quality of the pictures themselves, after all already the photos from flagships can easly match the "big cameras" if the photo will end up on social media - the compression will murder any quality advantages that big sensor had. It's about the ergonomics of the shooting process. The smartphone will never be able to match it because... it's smartphone. Yeah, you can use web browser on your smart tv but why would you if it's an inferior experience?
@@gauravgangurde1610 Phones don't need to replace cameras. For some, phones are more than enough and using a camera is overkill. I have a camera but my phone compliments it for some situations. But everyone has different preferences.
The one downside to small mirrorless camera phones like this is that there is no flippy screen! C’mon Samsung, it’s 2021... put a tilty flippy screen on it already! 😉

I wish I had the cash, I would completely upgrade to the S21 Ultra right now!! I have been shooting photos and some video on various Samsung phones for a while now and currently have the Samsung Galaxy S9. Seeing what you were able to do with it Manny totally100% sold me!! My fiancée wants me to switch to an iPhone, lol, no chance on that now!!
iPhone 12 pro / Samsung S21, whatever the phone you pick, you'll be able to take nice shots. If you think Samsung is better just because it has more pixels, you're fooling yourself. Both are greats, but they are still smartphone sensors with a ton of treatments.

But get me wrong 108mp mode also plays a roll in caputring the most amount of details in a daylight when you need ......as default s21 ultra shoots at 12mp thats why you won't find a difference between them, but samsung gives you more versatile setup.. macro to ultra wide to wide to 3x to 10x its all there.......
there's no doubt that cellphone cameras have come a long way and you can get some excellent results. If that's all you have on you at the time, go for it. I use my cellphone camera for quick snapshots. I started with film so I'm old school. A DSLR will always be my go-to camera for anything serious. But kudos to Samsung for doing a great job.
one huge glaring issue I see here is earlier where the tracks were you was not actually in 108mp mode ! , I own this phone and found this out myself couple of months ago. Tap the 3:4 you will see a 108mp option :) so realistically you was editing 12mp images also no raw in 108mp mode either as of yet
For social media, I’m sure it works fine for most instances (excluding low light). For a phone camera, I’m sure it’s one if the best. Me, I’d rather rock my old 12mp phone and put my money into FF or a decent crop sensor. I can’t imagine how noisy low light pictures would be on it with all those megapixels crammed on that small sensor. It fits a niche though and hopefully pushes the camera industry to do better.
You didn't really use 108 mp in this video tho it just Binns to 12 in portrait mode. and the wide angle is 12 mp sensor. You have to go into high res mode and you lose those features. This was more of an advert for Samsung than an actual test.

Just ordered my s21 today after 3 years of rocking the note 9. Came here to see if I made the right decision as a dog breeder and trainer who takes a lot of animal and moving working shots. Glad I saw this video can't wait to get my phone now. Thanks for this video
I wish that instead of having 5 lenses with 1/2.5 sensors, they would introduce a 1 inch sensor and a mount. Have it come with like a 28mm 1.4 with options to buy a ultrawides and telephotos. One day, the Apple iMount and Galaxy Mount
Manny. as am an Indian we don't have that kind of a budget for a camera or a lens .. but as an artist, I see your vision and the fact u want to share these photography related things to us new or pro photographer I personally don't think that you would reply yo my comment but I can say that I wld follow ur advice for any other videos ...Do take this as a consideration s we Indian don't have that u US guys have but we do have the passion for the photography that you have so pls do support us guys with ur reviews I know u like the newer mirrorless cameras but as they are expensive we can't afford them but ur advice are very affordable for us pls do consider that
I think iphone 12 added extra sharpness and colors. And u get natural photos on samsung. Adding extra sharpness or anything that looks good is kinda make sense coz when people captures photos on their phones, they usually don't want to edit it and maybe they will post it on social media. Although it takes away room for editing but it makes sense.
@@andysmith8031 i literally took a photo of the moon and I could see its craters 😳 That def made me keep. I included a link above to see some other stuff I did with it.
My pixel 3 takes better photos I have the 12 and most shots are sharper and more realistic especially selfies not saying the 12 bad though in some cases especially at night it wins but selfies and day shots are just better imo on pixel 3. See the IPhone gives you this Instagram ready look brightens everything up pixel always goes more real most of the time
1:20 Dude I think that S21 ULTRA is not running on it's latest security patch....coz a month before samsung inculded the option to shoot portrait images using 3x lense through an update....
Smartphones cameras will always improve and will never beat a dslr or mirrorless camera, if you are printing large prints / posters, need to use Flash ( though godox do have an app to use speedlites with a phone ) and need precise AF. However most content ends up on social media so no one really cares about very prints and the S21 is going to great for this ! I want a phone upgrade ! ! ! ! !
We all know it’s about the lens and the light and the photographer. I know Samsung probably won’t let you do Comparison videos. But hey it’s better than no camera.
I see you shot unedited and edited. Did you edit on the phone? If not, can you do this again (even if right outside on your block) while using just the phone's editor?
