Sunday Stroll Episode Nine
Sunday Strolls is a little photo series where we walk around our neighborhood and take photos with whatever film camera and whatever film stock we’re feel that Sunday. The only goal in mind is having a good time, and if the photos turn out, it’s an added bonus.

Totally worth it when you see the outstanding results of a medium format negative.

You got some decent results for your first time out. That camera has a wicked steep learning curve. But that sweet shutter sound…. 👍👍👍.

Nice video. Hint: just keep the dark slide in your pocket until you get through with your session.

You’re so right about film being slow and MF being sloooooow. I got my Hasselblad a couple months ago and I’ve been loving it.

you dont know how many shots i missed cause i forgot to pull that f*cking dark slide. but at the same time that shit has saved my ass too lol but what i do to prevent the dark slide crap from happening is ill keep it out, take a shot, but wont advance until im ready to shoot the next frame. that way i dont accidentally take a blurry shot of the ground (dont ask me how i know that). also, the prism has a way better shooting experience than the waist level. but admittedly it doesn't look nearly as cool as the waist level

Love my 500CM but I just leave the slide out until I am done shooting for the day or drive to a new spot.

Just leave it outside as long as you don't have to take the magazine off

Always look forward to these, can imagine it's hard to keep momentum growing but hope you continue. Never shot with a Hassy before, on my interchangeable back Mamiya 645 there's a holder for the dark slide and I just keep it there, doesn't affect the roll, so you could probably keep in in your pocket until you're ready to rewind the film. I like the shot of your brother where you missed the train in the background, but a lot of these were great. I love 6x6 personally, and for both of your first MF I would be very happy with these results.

Eli and i both need to practice our focus pulling tho. We struggled to hit focus on most of our shots

Hasselblad V systems are engineering design marvels. Every feature and process is done to avoid mishaps, components are designed and are there for real purpose. Take the Dark Slide for instance, it has to be in to remove the film back otherwise the release tab is locked and you cant take it off. The processes are basically safety features to help insure you don't accidentally expose your film or break something. MF is a slow process for good reason which is why when done right you will get the most amazing photos you ever shot.

Hey guy, excellent aventure!!! I just make a comment: It is necessary to pay more attention to the focus. To close a little the iris could be a good option!!! The Carl Zeiss lens are one the best around the world!!! When you read with an incident light meter, you can read the shadow area and then close the iris 1 or 2 stops 👍

@1:30 Had to flick the box cause you don’t get the same satisfaction from flicking the end of a 35mm film 😂 I still haven’t shot with a 120mm film camera, looks fun though!

Rolleiflex might be quicker, but the back of the camera connot be changed. Hass is better choice for future,

to close the film-pack you should not only press, this will kill the hook...use your dumb to move the knob to the side...
