The Flyer arrives in Portrush at 13:50-ish and departs at 17:30-ish. There's an afternoon trip to Coleraine (for the engine to get turned) leaving Portrush at 15:10 and returning at 16:05.
@MrStu2582 I should have popped across to get some shots of the C4K unit, we were held there for ages waiting for it to run to Portrush, bit of an unusual decision by NIR. It was very new and shiny, almost had "new car smell"! It's not often you get to see a train here with plastic and polystyrene covering the inside. Give it a few weeks in service and it won't be as pristine. :)
I can just about see myself at 2:46. Thank goodness I am far enough away not to crack your lens! :) Thanks for the video, it was a great day out, even if there was no sunshine.
We used to crawl up the embankment, at Bleachgreen Halt, under the platform, and put our noses as close to the rail as we dared, and wait for one of these to go thundering past. Naturally, ... no one flinched. LOL. !!!
