Bairro Alto is the place to be if you want to go out at night. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the small alleyways. Just go to Rua do Norte and Rua da Rosa and you'll know what I mean. However, this district with its many small stores is also worth a visit during the day. The buildings with their beautiful colors and the streets are simply unique.
