Hovan Cheng it has a classic feel because this song basically a faster pace of the 1961 song Mr. POSTMAN by the Marvelettes. Ijs, which is already a classic.
Can't keep my hands to myself Think I'll dust 'em off, put 'em back up on the shelf In case my little baby girl is in need Am I coming out of left field? Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now I been feeling it since 1966, now Might be over now, but I feel it still Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now Let me kick it like it's 1986, now Might be over now, but I feel it still Got another mouth to feed Leave her with a baby sitter, mama, call the grave digger Gone with the fallen leaves Am I coming out of left field? Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now I been feeling it since 1966, now Might've had your fill, but you feel it still Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now Let me kick it like it's 1986, now Might be over now, but I feel it still We could fight a war for peace (Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now) Give in to that easy living Goodbye to my hopes and dreams Stop flipping for my enemies We could wait until the walls come down (Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now) It's time to give a little to the Kids in the middle, but oh 'til it falls Won't bother me Is it coming? Is it coming? Is it coming? Is it coming? Is it coming? Is it coming back? Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, yeah Your love is an abyss for my heart to eclipse, now Might be over now, but I feel it still Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now I've been feeling it since 1966, now Might be over now, but I feel it still Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now Let me kick it like it's 1986, now Might be over now, but I feel it still Might've had your fill, but you feel it still
3 reasons this man is one of my favorite artist: 1. Saw the music video, so dude got style. 2. His songs give out that oldie vibe I chill with. 3. Dude got the copstache
For anyone who wants to play this on guitar, here's how :) Capo 4th Fret Picking: Open A x3 & Open Low E x1 (x2), 3rd A x3 & 3rd Low E x1 (x2), 5th A x3 & 5th Low E x1 (x2), Open A x3 & Open Low E x1 (x2) Repeat that through almost the entire song! If you want to add some chords in: Am, C, Dm, Am (↓↓↑ ↑↓↑ for each chord) Hope this helps out! If you get stuck or need a little extra help, I have a video lesson for this song on my channel :)
But you can just play it the same way they do, with power chords, no capo required, less tension, and it's only C#m, E, and F#m, in the 3rd verse and bridge there's a few A chords in there, nothing too complicated though.
I like how clean this music is...not much alterations (which is very common with music nowadays), and really simple chords but together with the vocalist’s voice it becomes this beautiful organic piece...remeniscent of the past but also now...

I could listen to this sassy little number for an hour straight and not get tired of it! These guys rock when they’re live! This is the second live video I’ve seen of this song and both of them I kinda like better than the recording.
Damn. This takes me back to when they did a bunch of the censored colors songs up in an old abandoned building. Much different lineup then. Much different sound. But still just as impressive. Love these guys forever, true artists.
Bradon Studebaker dude it was the exact same line up as now they just change the sound every album. This is nearly the same line up as the waiter you vultures album.
DItto - I was waiting for the hot chick to show up and start singing. I should have remembered the lesson, when at about age 12, I learned that Breaking Up is Hard to Do was sung by a man, Niel Sedaka. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tbad22CKlB4.html
1:20 something incredible I can't explain about that clip right there. This whole thing was filmed perfectly. This version is amazing and the cinematography is the cherry on top.
The moment the intro kicks in things get real! I swear the first time I heard this, it just got stuck in my head. This is such a masterpiece!! Plus, I really love this version. Good job guys you are the real deal!
LONE WOLF1 Who GAF about sexuality? It's a great song. If you're going to exclude 🏳️🌈 people from your song list, you're throwing out a lot of amazing music. Your loss.
I dig them, I think the last album they did "Evil Friends" was great. I do not think that they are "pop", they write good, if not great, songs. However I see how you might think they are "pop" as you only listened to one song. Still, I think they are awesome and deserve more exposure then this song alone.
I just want to say that I start my day with this song. Dosent matter how moody I am. I just put it on and then go to shower. I love it 😍😍😍. When you coming to UK? I love when stripped down version sounds exactly same as official video. No bullshit editing, just pure sound, soul and music. LIVE, LOVE, MUSIC ❤❤❤
What a ridiculous statement Mark... *if you are a guy, and you have a voice like that, you have the whole range*. It's not like you can naturally sing like that. You have to train to get to this point in the range dude, your natural voice will *always* be your chest voice, NOT your head voice. So he *choose* not to sing any other way than in head voice. That doesn't mean he hadn't developed the range. And yes, an head voice THAT clean and good is really hard to master - granted, I sing G2 to C6. Yep. That's about 4 octaves of range. This ain't even that hard, 3 good months of practice and you can get there. What's hard is *sounding great in head voice* like this guy does, or like Allen stone in falsetto. My God, to constantly sing in head voice, all the songs, always, with so much control, and to be that clean, requires a vocal technique that you guys don't seem to be the slightest bit aware of. Seriously, singer to singer, unless he got his balls cut... well this guys is a *beast*! :O
Just to add to my below comment.. The guy in the wheelchair what an inspiration for others who are in the same situation. Getting on with his life.. Plus he is very good looking....
Geniuses know Simplicity is what they want, Great song guys GREAT!!!! and the cameras are just perfect synched well done, congrats all the way from Northern Mexico
I remember the first time i heard that opening on the studio release and thought Ohhhh, What's this? This "Unplugged"ish version is a winner winner. if you want to figure out if a band is the real deal, listen to them unplugged, . when you take away all the electronics, they are only left with talent and skill. These guys are for real!
