those are the most inspiring words i've ever heard in my entire life. "make sure to like the video if you like the video" - Wombat Combat Pictures, July 24, 2018
I absolutely loved Kongu's pose. This truly is what Lego is all about! Infinitely improving designs to perfection. This is SO MUCH better than the design I came up with! I happened to stumble upon this video when reviewing my videos from years ago. I wish you would have messaged me or commented on my video that you posted this because this is truly remarkable. Thank you for the shout-out! As a being able to voice act a bit myself, I'm going to try to meet you on your discord for your latest project. Maybe we could collaborate on that in one way, shape, or form
Hey thanks! Glad you found it! Apologies for not leaving a comment, I wasn't quite sure if you were still active! I would be an honor to have you as a voice actor in Knight of Nights, feel free to join the discord and send me an audition!
Man, I love this design! The amount of expression you can achieve with it is incredible, and I loved seeing them all look like they were actually interacting with their respective Toa. I'm still in the process of the collecting all the McToran, but as soon as I do I totally wanna do this with them. Thank god for Bricklink.
Not sure if anyone has commented on this. But as of 2022 the very useful pieces are now in lime! Granted only in one set and at 2 per set. But that’s still cool. Also as of 2022 the 2015 pin hole piece has also showed up in white, light bluish gray, dark bluish gray, red, orange, yellow, lime, dark blue, and blue. Which I guess makes kongu incredibly completable color scheme wise.
For anyone asking about the 2015 pieces with the pin and the hole, it's the "pin with friction ridges and pin hole" part number 15100. It was actually released in 2014 according to Bricklink and is sorted as a pin, not a pin connector.
Damn these are always what I hoped the McToran could of been especially after playing MNOG as a kid back in 01. They put so much personality into all the character animations that it felt like such a disappointment that the actual models were so stiff. Fantastic build dude, will defs use it if I ever decide to indulge my inner childself and build that sickass diorama I always imagined but lacked the parts for.
Awesome strategy man, I've long since wondered how to do something like what you did here! Also, if you're interested, I would love to do some voice acting for Knight of Nights in the future; however, I am also a fan of the storybook or tale by fire format that you're currently using now, as well.
So cool! We wouldn't have needed the 2003 Matoran if this design had been used! The original Tohunga was fun though, and now after 19 years I have my first one, Nuparu! If you ultimately end up creating Takua, give him yellow eyes to reflect the fact that he is actually an Av-Matoran, not a Ta-Matoran; all the Av-Matoran have yellow eyes.
Oh curses😅 I saw DontJoelme's video and tried to buy some Tohunga parts to figure out how to improve the design (mostly on the legs) but I guess you found a way for the entire Tohunga. 😅
Idea: to connect a 2015 or 2009/2008 bionicle head, use another balljoint at the end of the axle. then, connect a 2009 or 2015 bionicle head to the ball joint and presto! a Matoran available for 2015 masks!
Funny thing, I actually building these Matoran Figures by your built style that I found in Flea Market and I just need fewer more pieces to compared and completed all.
Me; who doesn't even have enough pieces to recreate my old Eelek and never even touched a bionicle set prior to it due to how expensive it is these days to purchase these parts and sets: "Fascinating"
They’re called Mocs. Standing for My Own Creation. They’re not “fake” they’re custom! And if you’re referring to the Mctorran, those were a limited edition thing from McDonald’s!
