HI! I finally got to schedule my first LIVE show for 5/18/24. I'm very excited! I'm new to it too that's why I came across your video here. Even though my clothes are higher in cost, I hope people show up LOL. Thank you for your video.

I would recommend adding about 10-15 listings to your tray that aren't whatever you consider to be "higher in cost." I would have listings that are in the $8-$12 price range that are commonly sought after brands to appeal to a wide audience. If you are selling items from your closet at 25% off (my average is 50% off closet list price), you may have a hard time finding live buyers. Think SLAMMING DEALS when first starting, then build on your audience once you have repeat customers.

Hi Denise! I just watched this video. Thank you so much for the help! I have tons of inventory but wasn’t doing lives because I didn’t know how to do them! You have helped me so much. I don’t know if posh provides “start selling live” training but I have not found it yet. I am still really confused about how to track inventory, how to keep track of how much I make, and how to do taxes. I’ll look to see if you have videos on that. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

Hi Denise, Thank you for showing 😊 this. I did a few lives last summer but didn't get many people and not even 1 sale the first time and after that, none except one show when I sold jewelry and had 5 sales. Then my husband found out that he had lung cancer and he had an operation and he is in his 70's and I am 81 so it was a pretty rough time ɓut he is fine now and I am ready to start again since I have more inventory than I can ever list. I really needed a refresher course. Thanks again. Jackie

Hi Kelly, yes all the moving parts feels overwhelming at first, but the technology piece is pretty easy to navigate. I will say, I can show a lot of things via video- but you kind of just have to jump in and get your feet wet! Please feel free to ask any questions.

I think it’s really good to keep it to small talk, weather, travel etc if you are chatting up people. I sometimes can go off on brand tangents and I’ve had to work on that. Haha!

This is BY FAR the best informational vid I've seen!!! I'm nervous. About to go live for 1st time. Was it difficult for you to learn NOT to say, "umm/uhh"??? You sound great and I'm really Bad about the ummms and uhhhs .. any advice?

Thank you so much! Just chit chat like you are having a conversation with someone and don't worry about your umms and uhhhs! It will feel more natural as time goes on and you get used to it! I get hung up on words I repeat in my RU-vid videos, but sometimes I edit them out. Hehe! Good luck! Tag me when you go live.

As long as purchases are made during your show, buyer purchases frim the Live will automatically bundle. Even if a shopper buys, leaves, then returns, her items will bundle as long as your show hasn’t ended.

Hi Violet, when I started selling on Poshmark, Live Sales didn't exist! I wouldn't say you need to have a lot of selling experience on Posh to do live sales, but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND knowing what your profit margin is before live selling and determine what number you want to start items for and if it works for your profits- since live sales especially for beginners tends to be lower price points! You've got this!

What are your thoughts on changing the retail of your live items to zero or $999? I guess the thought process is the buyer won’t see what you have it listed for and can potentially bid higher than asking price.

For me, I want buyers to see the deal they are getting, so I like showing the current list price. Personally I don't want to spend time editing 50 items listing price and then back to original price if they don't sell. Unlisted items I did put the listing price to $99 or they are $0! I prefer the $99. I don't think you will find anyone outbidding your listing price, that would be very rare, unless you have a room of like 100 ppl.

Good morning! I’m going live tonight for the first time and I am nervous about how all the technology is going to work together. 😳🤪 I will be videoing on my iPhone and would like to have my PC open on the side to be able to see comments easier. As well I would like to utilize my iPad for music. Please tell me it all comes together easy when I press the “start show” button.

Hi Paula! Tag me in a listing that’s in your tray so I’m notified when you go live! I’m just @eatplaylove on posh. I would recommend having your music already going before you start your live! You can pull items in on your laptop or load them into the tray “on a second device”. You’ll be great! Good luck.

Quick list defaults to description only, if you’d like once you list it, go into your actual closet, look at just in or search by title and change the photo there, it may make you add other info at that point!

If you’re not the right size with these clothes, I don’t agree that that would sell that item. You have to be the correct size.

@virtuious901 I try clothes on every live show that are not my size (that I would keep or own), to help people get a sense of fit. It works for me and my buyers. It may not be something every seller is interested in doing.
