Flat Slide sheets work by placing one slide sheet on top of another. Tubular Slide Sheets, by nature are already two layers, one on top of the other. The 2 layers of low friction (slippery) material then work together to reduce friction. Therefore when a patient is moved, one layer stays in contact with the patient whilst the other layer stays in contact with the bed / supporting surface.
