Positioning Lidar & the Canadian Geospatial Industry for the Future | LiDAR CANEX 2023 

Lidar CANEX welcomed Calvin Klatt, PhD, Natural Resources Canada
Director, Canadian Geodetic Survey, as one of its speakers in 2023. Dr. Klatt speaks about “Positioning Lidar and the Canadian Geospatial Industry for the Future.” He does this by introducing the Canadian Geodetic Survey which provides the Canadian Spatial Reference System Precise Point Positioning service (CSRS-PPP) to support clients who need accurate GNSS information. The international service has a kinematic mode that supports Lidar data collection. There are recent statistics on this kinematic service and Dr. Klatt presents these to expo attendees who are invited to provide feedback. He also discusses some implications of the Galileo High Accuracy Service which is to be fully launched in the EU in only a few months.
