Developing a good gun mount is critical to developing good shooting style. This film was made some time back. Today, I would usually advise starting with the muzzles just a little lower (but always below the line of sight to the target/target line). I also often demonstrate the Churchill - butt under the armpit and well back - technique for those who are having trouble with gun mounting. One other point, the swing should begin on a crossing shot BEFORE the gun is brought to face and shoulder, the rotation begins as one reacts to clear target image - don't mount and slash.
