Thank you for this video, I've recently overcome homelessness after 1 1/2 years. This was a very traumatic experience for my family and I. I worked as a nurse during covid and lost too many of my precious patients. I also tested positive for covid causing a domino effect into homelessness. But it also lead me back to my passion since childhood, making art. Today I am not where I want to be as a professional artist, financially or in our dream house just yet but I am also not where I was before losing our home of 7 years. I will stay positive and remind myself that not everything we experience is forever, one day at a time.

I can relate to this soo well, it's more of a controlled investment. I remember coming across a ceramic palette for watercolors when I first started. Since it was beginning, I wanted to buy supplies that really mattered so bought a silver brush instead. I was waiting for a milestone before buying the palette, but that didn't happen with insta. Now that I am a Skillshare teacher and love to have an aesthetic spread in my videos, I invested in the palette and I am more than elated to own it with the my wait behind it.

Loved your painting ❤ Sometimes it’s just too hard to see what you want, especially when you’re trying something different and not sure what you’re doing with your life 😢 every time I think about buying new things I fear spending money maybe it’s because I’ve not started earning yet. This feeling has been stopping me from doing anything, and yes it’s been a roller coaster ride since 2 years 😐 I needed to hear this, I want that push back to feel confident again soon 🙂

Always love the way you narrate anything, Geethu. I can totally relate to the finances and investment part. When I started SKILLSHARE with my basic knowledge about camera angles and basic equipment, and now looking forward to upgrading supplies mostly rather than shooting gear. Eventually, I will invest in gear too.... But that is how I am planning for what I am able to afford today. Sometimes I feel lost and frustrated with myself that I am unable to give time for ART due to my ongoing Ph.D. But seeing your videos here and such nice topics being narrated from your own experiences makes me always stay a bit motivated. As i always say, more power to you, my girl. ❤🧿
