As someone who never plans to have kids, this is so , IDK the word... Magnificent is the closest I can get. I've never seen a man aid in the actual labor and it makes so much sense. I'm so glad him putting pressure on your hips helped with pain. Anyone who gives birth is a rockstar but you having a natural at home birth is next level

Great Job Niki! I had a home birth in February after having a medicated hospital birth for my first. Transition had me calling out to God for help just like you were, but pushing felt so good when we finally got to that phase. We didn’t even get the birth pool set up in time to use it. So happy for you and your family. She is beautiful!

I legit hung up the phone with my husband when I saw this video pop up, haha. I’m so happy for you both! And Dan is such a good birth partner! My husband held it together well during my C-section, but then almost passed out once he knew that the baby and I were OK, haha.

Nikki thank you so much for releasing this video. I’m 34 weeks pregnant for the first time and praying for a peaceful homebirth next month. This video had me sobbing at the end, my yorkie (just like Zoe!) was like mom are you ok?? If I may ask, do you think anything helped you have such a quick labor? Or just luck of the draw? I’d love for mine to be 5 hours! I know this was your second birth too and I would be doing my first birth

Well done, congratulations! I had a water birth with my daughter. Although at times I thought I was going to die, it is amazing how your body just does it all on its own. It was the most positive experience. I did not have a water birth with my first and had a epidural and had less pain, the experience was not a good one. Enjoy your snuggles with your daughter xx

I came across this birth video and I KNEW somewhere in my head I remembered your voice....well of COURSE I did haha. I heard you say in the beginning of this video that this was your second, so I went back to see the first birth and sure enough - A couple years ago I saw a really funny video of a lady on her hands and knees in the bathroom with a whole birth blow up tub in her bedroom...but she ended up in her bathroom tub working so hard to get her first baby out and really adorable shock value responses when that boy was out. Yes ma'am it ended up being you. So happy this one went smoothly, and it was a shorter process. I always told my girls that the first one typically "paves the way for the rest". I'm a mom of five married kids, gma to 16, and honey you have a body for birthing, let me tell you. This labor and delivery was definitely a dream. May the Lord richly bless you and your husband as you raise these two kiddos. Sending love from a little town in western WA called Orting. ❤

Nikki, Congratulations! I have been praying for you throughout your pregnancy and when I saw you had your baby I felt so relieved! I know this pregnancy was so challenging. I am due in August with my first baby and my pregnancy has been difficult but nothing compared to HG. She is so beautiful! What an amazing birth! You are a warrior! Once my water broke I couldn’t deal with a pain and I asked for an epidural immediately then had a c section so I never experienced this. She is so beautiful and perfect!

It is really a blessing. I came back to watch this after your last commentary video!! And I also wanted to say, regarding the breastfeeding, you already switched to pumping. But if you would like to go back to it, may be you can try laying down to feed her. That is what have helped me because at a point, holding my baby to breastfeed was stopping my blood circulation and my arms were hurting so bad. My mom taught me the proper way to breastfeed lying with my baby and that's what I did and it worked. Anyway well done again ang God bless you all!

Unfortunately laying down feeding doesn’t work for us:( probably because my boobs are fake lol they won’t stretch the proper way for baby to latch properly…also it stilllll weirdly hurts my back! That being said, thanks for the suggestion and I’m sooo glad to hear that’s working for you mama!🥹

I have 4 kids (2nd is in heaven) i have 3 here on earth with me and im pregnant (16 weeks) and everytime i see a mom birthing I will cry with her reactions and the most beautiful, vulnerable and wonderful moment of her life.
