Video Description:
I work hard to make my RU-vid channel a consistent source of positivity and productive discussion, and I truly do appreciate it when viewers go out of their way to leave comments that provide these things to others as well-hope, encouragement, and positivity.
In today’s new video, I’ve chosen to highlight a few positive comments that have been left recently on my channel. They offer a testament to healing for others and provide hope and positivity. I hope you take something productive from them that might help you along your own healing journey.

At the end of a Clonazepam taper after 12 years of taking it and I was on Xanax for 10 years before that. My nervous system is whacked out and I'm so anxious. I will be 69 years old in September. I'm leaning into the Lord with everything that I have. This is the hardest thing that I have ever been through. I have stopped putting anything negative or scary in my eye gates or ears

Hi Michael. Thank you for sharing my comment in this video. I'm so pleased to be able to share this good news and I'm really glad that you have read it out here for more people to be able to hear it, and hopefully it will offer some hope to people. I'll try and ad a few more details about my healing. All of the symptoms have gone and I am healthy and happy and living a great life. I would say that it took about 4 years for me to heal. Because I have been well and free from symptoms for about a year and a half now. It's not just a window or a false dawn, but a very steady and stable recovery. I completely agree that the time lines are different for different people. It's really not helpful to focus on how long it's going to take. It's much better to just focus on the fact that eventually we do all heal. Also, just because some of us may have been suffering for a long time, that doesn't mean that you won't still heal. It took me a long time but I did heal at the end of it. Healing really does happen, so focus on that and never give up hope. I will always keep watching because the lovely grind really is about total health. Withdrawal is a part of that, but there's so much more to it. Your journey doesn't end once the symptoms go away. So there's so much more here for everybody. Many thanks, Joseph.

Thanks for sharing Michael, I am currently going through a rough patch! And although I have been blessed with lots of healing, I am still recovering and it can be tough when it's been going on for years. So thank you for reading Joseph's positive message and sharing how long it took for him to heal. It keeps hope alive, that light at the end of the tunnel is waiting for us all. God bless 💞🙏🕊️

Hugs, encouragement, and God's blessings to you, Kelly, as you move through this rough patch. You will get through. You've come so far and there is so much to be proud of. Also a lot to look forward to. You might get tired, but don't lose heart. The light is still waiting and there for you. Keep at it and remember that every day is moving you forward. That is the truth!

Do you have any videos addressing what recovery timelines look like, or could you make one? Wanting to understand what some experiences of recovery look like - is it that the windows get longer and longer or is it that the symptoms are less severe, or both? Thank you!

I would in general both of the things you mention tend to occur. Great idea for a video!

Thank you for sharing the supportive comments Michael. I'll always be thankful for your channel. My last dose of lorazepam was in June of last year and I'm extremely grateful the withdrawal pains, while horrific two days after my last dose, eventually subsided and I was free of the drug the following month. This was after stopping the trazodone earlier last year in April. Hearing the success stories of others is an important lifeline on this healing journey. I should let you know that I am soon to be moving to a new city at the end of this week and I will finally be working again next month after spending most of this year unemployed and struggling. Onward and upward.

I'm not tech savvy at all. I was trying to see if you did any videos on how to deal with rumination?

Not specifically, but I do have various videos that touch upon mental symptoms. This would fall into that category.
