I saw Svengali live. Got a nice gift from Derren during the show too. A big piece of card with a "prediction" on. Got it signed afterwards too. Really nice man.

@@fredinabun1986 Haha. Reading it off of the wall now. The prediction is/was: ”274,163,890,217”. I can’t remember exactly what the prediction was for. Perhaps it’s the amount of seconds I’ve got left to live..

'The left arm always known as the 'Devil's' arm, always used for any kind of possession writing, although he is probably right handed, we always use the left arm. The word 'Sinister' comes from the Latin word for left handed'- While this is a true statement, I think this was how Derren got the initials part of this trick to work. His emphasis on 'Devil's and 'Sinister' I think planted the D and S into the guys mind unknowingly to him and that's how he knew what initials to write. I love how Derren Brown works, I find him fascinating. I know what he does is in no way spiritual, he's an illusionist. He's very talented and smart, he knows how to manipulate the human mind into thinking or picturing certain things, then uses that to make it seem like he is reading their thoughts when really, he planted them there to begin with. He's incredibly subtle and sneaky, I love going back to his videos after a while and trying to figure out how and at what point he plants the seed

The slightly audible gasps as Derren pulled the tarp off of Svengali and the eerie music is what makes this such a great show.

Derren, you are absolutely _amazing!_ Also, I loved the Victorian milieu for this show... A wonderful homage of which you are the Grand Master! I so held my breath as you climbed that gantry! Of all the entertainers of the industrial age, you are at the very _top_ of the list!
