Possessed is a thrash / death metal band from the United States formed in 1983 in the California Bay Area [1], a traditional stronghold of thrash metal bands (see: Slayer, Metallica, Exodus, Testament, etc.) and finalized at the beginning of the decade of 1990, in 1993. It was one of the precursors bands of death metal, as well as Death and the Morbid Angel, both of the state of Florida
Jeffrey Benjamin Becerra Sr. (June 15, 1968 in Richmond, California) is an American lawyer and musician, famous for being the lead singer of death metal band Possessed.
In 1989, he was paraplegic after being shot in a robbery.
