A dozen practices into training camp with the first preseason game tomorrow night, and Mac / Zappe not slapping each other on the butt is the best that NBC Sports Boston and Bedard could come up with for Patriots coverage? Smh...

These people are basically manufacturing a story that no one really cares about. There must be some football content that has an impact on the team other than the relationship of two Quarterback’s.

Media wants drama amongst teammates so bad it’s disgusting

There is no QB competition, but of course Bailey Zappe wants to be the starter and might even think he's better than Mac (He isn't). Both are young QBs and only one can be the starter. It should be Zappe who understands he's the backup and do his best to warm up to Mac and let everyone know in an unspoken way that Mac is the starter and Zappe is the backup. I'm sure Mac gets along great with the starters on offense.

How about this - they both feel they are better than the other. That has to burn Mac more than Zappe. They both should play a lot this preseason but Mac clearly has more to prove.

Probably gonna turn out Malik beats them both out.

I think Zappe is the prick was kisser. Every interview he makes it seem like Mac is non existent and he's coming for his job and has never once complimented Mac....so why would Mac do anything to support him? Mac has always said the right things. Takes accountability....never publicly blamed Matty P ...always put the blame on his shoulders. Mac is a model Patriot and Zappe ain't it. I'm tired of Bailey Zappe. It's never going to be Zappe Hour.....And it's nothing like farve/Rodgers or brady/Jimmy G....both qbs were getting old when those guys got drafted....Mac was drafted in 2021....Zappe 2022....it's a completely different situation. Mac will silence Zappe and the haters to the tune of 4781 yards 38TDs and 9 ints this season

These noobs ying again. Been to all open practices and they are often seen talking and laughing, then they get into the training mindset and get focused- this is what you want with a new OC. These guys are stooges and pulling at strings

Brady did the same thing to Jimmy G as Farve did to Rogers. They felt threatened by these guys who were actual starter competition. Thinking that I have to train the guy who’s coming for my job that’s a hard pill to swallow. In 20 years Jimmy G was the only true competition for the starting role and I’m sure Bill and his camp fueled that fire. And Brady was just as much an asshole and shut Jimmy G out where he could so I don’t think him and Farve are any different in that regard. Farve just wasn’t the guy anymore Brady still had it going and as we all remember had Krafts ear. We won 2 more SBs so I can’t complain. But Bill has always done a good job of knowing when to move on from players and if he had gotten his way would the train still be running down the tracks? Maybe not but Jimmy did go to a SB so the talent was there.

I think Jones had every right to be pissed last year, with the cluster Belichick put in charge of the offense. Then the way the fans reacted, I think, also pissed him off as it would have me. After all they loved him the year before, and then because of the awful coaching he didn't play nearly as well and they turned on him. Fans will be fans but he doesn't have to like it.

Full on qb controversy...you can tell they don't like each other. And Mac looks mad insecure he knows Zappe is better for the team but his ego won't let him come to grips with that. Zappe is definitely pushing him for qb1 and I think preseason is going to prove who's better.
