Kaiser blows. I hope that employees of Kaiser get what they are asking for, since Kaiser does not use it's profits to help improve patient care, they can at least properly staff its facilities.
So the corporation you work for makes billions and the people that make it happen are understaffed and bonuses cut? My wife is a director for another so called "Health Care" organization, her corporate management cut the staff in half and still expect everyone to keep up. This isn't about health care this is about profits pure and simple. I'm not against company's making profits, but when the staff is under paid and over worked you get burn out. Who suffers the most? long term it's the patients. Most of these heads have never nor would they know how to take care of patients. Their good at one thing only, they're reffered to as "bean counters" no experience and no knowledge of how the boots on the ground work. Textbook geniuses and common sense/ hands on idiots.
If Kaiser nurses with their historically strong union thinks they’re being underpaid, then the nurses working at smaller hospitals are definitely way underpaid.
