Possibly Controversial Premium Shop Redesign! 

I really like the idea of a permanent shop instead of week by week. Especially if maybe you don’t like the new stuff so you would’ve bought something else if it was available. I did the math on the art deco items and if they keep them at the price they are individually they’ll end up costing less than the bundles did - heard everyone complained about the original price

I have suggested on their discord that they need to just have all the PS items available at all times because there is going to be a time where there is more items that not everything is going to be able to make it into rotation within a year. Maybe that's why they are doing the weekly sale to add more into the rotation but this is just a band-aid to postpone the inevitable. I do like your idea that Star Path items should be rotated since they are limited time event items. We only get a handful of Star Paths within a year and most people prefer the big ticket items from them anyways.

I love the idea of a full catalog being available. I would love if we could sort premium content by what fits the filters for dreamsnaps too. Like if the theme was beach it would pull up all premium stuff for Little Mermaid, Moana, PoC and Stitch along with the skins for Scrooge and Merlin and the beach house and boat houses.

I definitely think we need a permanent shop as not everyone has the moonstones to spend straight away but I don't like the idea of the prices increasing. I've skipped on things that I wasn't particuarly intrested in or thought was priced too high but I still plan to get them all eventually and if that means I can get them cheaper - great! Anything I really want, I'll prioritize and snap up straight away (Assuming I have the moonstones).The Star path items are stuff we essentially got for free, so anyone that didn't get to start/finish the star paths, is where they can have their "limited time only" items and price up. I think that way it's fair for all. :)

Though I think a permanent shop would be nice I also think it would become a cluttered mess quickly even with different sections for things. They have been giving us about 2 dozen new items every update and if they continue that trend that is over 140 new items a year in the premium shop. I do think they will need to expand the shop at some point to show more than 8 items a week otherwise we will be waiting ages to see an item we missed out on again. I am still waiting on those tiny pink wings and that Up backpack to return. It is frustrating waiting. I think putting new items on sale right off the bat is still participating in fomo because people are still going to have that mind set of omg, I need to get this now on sale even if they know the item will always be there. It is just a different fomo at that point. Anyways I liked the video even if we have different opinions and that is ok! I enjoy hearing your thought process on things.

I love the idea of a permanent catalog of all past items that are always available. I am sure newer players would be grateful too since they are at a disadvantage completing for dreamsnap votes because they don't have items that meet the theme. And I agree Gameloft would make even more money if they make all items available. I know there are a good number of items I've missed that I would love to have now instead of hoping every week they will show up. :)

Sorry I need to catch up with all the videos but I'll slowly get there haha I agree with you, especially with dreamsnaps themes where we want a certain house for the theme (e.g. the candy house) but they advertise it after the DS theme, they rarely align them so it feels like a punishment for not buying it right away

Since I personally want more clothing options in the game, I think they should start releasing Clothing/Furniture/Accessories packs like the Sims franchise has been doing since the Sims 2 era. Then maybe convert the regular Premium Shop into an actual in-game store run by a character similar to Daisy's Boutique and Scrooge's.

I think these are awesome ideas. Got a little distracted watching your figaro trying to jump up to your window, lolol I always liked the way Animal crossing did their shop and their clothing shop.

I'm kind of on board with this... the Sweet House is a funny thing to me, I remember choosing not to buy it when it first came out, I don't remember buying it when it showed up again and it was actually after Sugary Style that I found out I had it! Obviously when I bought it I didn't care about it, didn't place it & now here it is on sale and I feel like I wish I could have spent less on it because I like it, I don't love it, I'd spend 3k on it tho (I don't love it's non IP and 3750 that made no sense) but I bought it and I didn't even realize so yeah I think I'd fall prey to the get it on first release sale price mentality but also I like the idea of being able to buy from a catalog of all the offerings maybe when I have a particularly lush financial week. Personally I get paid bi-weekly and if I had to buy moonstone I probably wouldn't have the funds on my off week and I'd miss things as they are now.

A permanent shop would be great. I had to skip Figaro due to limited moonstones. Now I am comparing every premium item to Figaro. If I don't want it as much as Figaro then I am not spending the moonstones waiting on the hope Figaro comes back. So your logic is exactly what I am doing!! I would also be more incentivised to buy moonstones if they came with exclusive items. I bought the ultimate edition after playing for awhile as I wanted moonstones and I got the ultimate edition items as a bonus. I would do the same with the cozy edition if I could but I play on console without disk drive so that's not an option. I am not interested in buying moonstones just to get premium shop items

At this point, I think preying on FOMO is working exactly as Gameloft intends. People have been calling out the PS for being predatory since it was first added to the game. They haven't changed how it works, and I don't think they ever will. Being predatory is the point, IMO. It's why personally I've never spent a dime on the PS and never will. I would have spent so much money on this game by now if I didn't find the shop so shady - I definitely don't have a problem with MTX and do spend money on other games. But I'm not spending money on predatory practices like this shop. My MS I get from dreamsnaps are my budget for the PS, period. I completely agree with your suggestions and just about everything you said. I think this would be a fantastic change. I just don't see it happening, unfortunately.

Permanent premium shop would be amazing

There will always will be FOMO but its our choice things may take time to return i have skipped things once or twice and i get what your saying we all have our thoughts on things but what comes is what comes i feel. if they change it i would not be against it either. people can and do refuse to buy from the Premium shop also and some may only participate in dream snaps to get there Star Path Moonstones, Premium shop is optional.
