“This used to be a beautiful city” -Nick, Left 4 Dead 2 (Another masterpiece I saw right now. Also, having a beautiful reminder for us. Stay safe people.)
Mate, that dio is unbelievable! So much effort and detail. All the scratch built items, the kits and scenics all blend together perfectly. You have, without doubt, created another amazing piece. Can I ask, how long did it take to build?
Sept. 3, 2020----Don't think about it, do it. Never built a model before? RU-vid has a lot how to videos. Also, check out IPMS which is a world wide organization of modelers with different interests. Ships, planes, figures, etc., etc., etc. There's a lot of chapters all over the world and by checking out IPMS's website, you can find where they're at. And no, you don't need to be a member of IPMS to go to these chapter meetings. You'll meet some amazing people at these meetings and you'll be thinking, forget it....I'll NEVER be as good as them. Guess what? We ALL started on the bottom of the food chain when it came to learning not only how to build models, but better models. And you can many times get kits other modelers are selling CHEAP. Part of it may be they want to thin out their collection or getting new hobby like one guy I knew who got into HO trains. I've picked u $65 kits (Ebay) for $30. All the parts were there, the only difference being the box wasn't shrinked wrapped. Also Google modeling clubs and I've got something like 2 dozen of them that I check out from time to time. I'm 67 and started modeling back in '74 when I came back to the states from Panama. During all that time I've accumulated A LOT of kits, 99% which aren't built. Try 1,500 and I know that's a true figure because I have a list of EVERY numbered box with what kits are in that box. Makes it a lot easier to find a kit this way. Maybe you can tell I've been single all my life? Now I'm into 1/35 scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas, so learning how to modify military figures into civilians. Then turn around to make silicone molds of the upper/lower torso's, then resin copies of them so I can make a bunch of different figures. I have 2 dozen or so resin figures, but buy them only when they run no more than $7 each, including shipping.
That's a beautiful job ... Really appreciate the experience of this, the true possibilities of a life to come.. Really make you think hard about it.. Especially since what we're going through now..
this is simply amazing. I want to do stuff like this myself and am wondering do you make the other props yourself like the barrels and pipes or buy them
Absolutely a nightmare ..! (Just a thought -- perhaps add some bullet holes in the 'Covid-19' Sign ... to denote the frustrations of a long dead individual who died of this maelstrom of bad health ...) Keep at it. Such creations tell whole stories that we should consider for more than the art. D.A.

Good night, magnificent video, I really loved it. Would you have the 3D files of the puppets? I'm putting together a collection of survivors and I loved those in the video, please make them available (Sorry my English, I'm Brazilian and I used google translator)

Besides the language on the billboard, an immediate way of knowing this is not set in the United States is the billboard is free of bullet holes and shotgun blasts.
Good modeling STALKAR o.o however! It is missing one teeny, tiney little thing.... a patch of fruit punch anomaly! Right underneath the truck would have been great :D
