I got the Mamiya Rb67 no too long ago, and ended up in your page and i got hooked, your content is pretty unique man, and im glad youre recovering from the Chemo and beating cancer. Cheers from Guatemala to South Africa.
I'm sure cancer took a lot out of ya, but you're still the genuine heart felt person that a lot of us enjoy, you never left but I'm glad to see you back!
With the way the world is it may seem like people will forget about you but deep down we are still human and the majority of people couldn’t care less about upload schedules when it really comes down to it. We just want to see you healthy, making photos, and sharing your thoughts. No matter how long you might go away. As long as it’s not forever, we will be here. Good to see you back, matey 🍻
I was just talking about you last night! We hadn't forgotten about you, we've been holding tight and wishing you the best! SOSO glad to see you back and doing well, this video had so many stunning moments that made me feel so excited about photography and also what you share with us all, your channel is really special, Photography on youtube has been so dry without you welcome back!
Ah thank you so much Vely! I'm honored to be back, and greatly looking forward to continuing to share things with you - we're well on our way into summer now so hopefully some lovely summer adventures to come haha!
Glad to see you Will, sending lots of love to you and your family. Hopefully there have been some silver linings during this period that you will be able to look back on
Very glad to see you back and shooting!! So many bangers throughout the whole video, especially the portraits around 15:00. The kid with the lollipop!!!!! *chefs kiss* Oh yeah and FUCK CANCER
This comment is 50% to help the algorithm recognize the work you put into this channel and 50% because I'm really fucking happy to know you're doing better, your content is always top notch and you seem like a really nice guy. I wish I could help a bit more, but this will have to do for now.
When I was in the army we had a saying from a song "keep on a pushing don't stop now" & you are. You made the right decision to get your dream car. Looking forward to many more videos!
William - I hope you continue to beat the crap out of cancer. I am very pleased to see you this energized in this video. Great news - and more cause to celebrate than any number of subscribers your channel hit. F*** cancer. You're a RU-vid treasure!
So happy to see you back on YT. Amazing video, the bird photos are like photos from Bruce Gilden but with birds. Really love these. I wish you a good recovery, thank you
Nice to have you back. Recovery always takes time, usually more time than they tell you. Just take it slow but keep moving. As for the purchase well nothing in life is certain or even predictable. Most times you just have to take your chances and if they don’t work you just start over. If the last 70 yrs have taught me anything it’s don’t spend too much time looking back, have a plan for tomorrow but live for today. Bob in Boise, Bandit Corgibutt and Sophie Tucker
Thank you kindly Bob! I really like your stance on chance taking haha, I'm glad to have some sage wisdom backing up my actions lol! My kindest regards to Bandit and Sophie also! I hope your new Hasselblad is treating you well by the way, was super lovely to see that comment when it popped up a couple of weeks ago!
I was thinking to myself "it's been a while I did not see a William Sheepskin video, I hope he is ok", after looking in RU-vid, Boom ! A new new video 3 days ago. I'm glad you are on the good way to recover! Love the pictures of the birds and the colors. Time is passing for everyone, we are busy in daily life, but I think people can conect with some RU-vidrs that shares deep thoughts. A one way connection though! Cheers
Thanks Samuel! I guess it is kind of a treat hey, but also it's had some headaches come along with it haha, I'm very quickly learning a lot about working on diesel engines looooool
Wonderful to see you again Will! I’m going to take my time going through your diary. There’s a lot in there. I’m grateful you created and shared that. It’s important for you, your loved ones, and the journey has universal meaning for so many who have been effected by cancer. I appreciate you, and am so happy to see you again. Cheers!!! 😊
Thanks so much Justin, I have kept your words of encouragement in mind frequently over the past few months and am so grateful to have had your advice. I hope you enjoy a slow read through the diary and look forward to hearing your thoughts sometime soon, I’m immensely grateful that you’re going to be reading it, and am very glad to be responding to a comment from you once more!! Cheers!!!
@@willysheepskin 😊 Right on! I am smiling right now. I skimmed the whole thing, and am savoring the first few pages with a cup of coffee. I feel it resonate so much. It’s very powerful. I’m … touched. Honestly it’s a lot to take in. I’m humbled you shared this though. Thanks Will!
As someone who had to go through Chemo 10 years ago at a comparable fairly young age (24), there is only one thing to say but this I would like to give you along your journey as a 'survivor': You'll eventually be back at full strength soon and those first weeks after chemo might be a pain in the ass for being 'done with it' on one hand but then again all the constant exhaustion on the other hand. In a couple of months you'll not only feel stronger than ever before but also as if you were born for a second time, going through all the struggles of growing up (in a different way) in a blink of an eye. Most people including those around you (who will sometimes not understand you anymore, but that's okay, they'll grow with you along the way) will not make that experience in their life or at a very later age. And as contrary as it may sound: It's a blessing that you had to go through all of this now. If... you're willing to see it that way. Don't get me wrong: Noone should ever have to go through Chemo in their life. But considering that some of us just have to (and more importantly: in the hope of never having to do that ever again) I wouldn't want to miss one single moment of these struggling times. I am who I am because of it. My family/friends and I are the way we are with each other because of it. My relationships have turned out the way they were and are because of it. Everything has changed in an inexpressable way. But in a good way. It's okay, that having had to go through all of this will potentially determine who you are in the long run to a much greater extent than you might think, fear or hope right now. Great to have you back! You were missed. Love form Frankfurt, Germany
I’m sooo glad you are back. You’ve been in my thoughts and prayers quite often. Here’s to a complete banishment of cancer. I ordered your e-book; really looking forward to digesting that.
It’s great to see one of your videos again. I love the vibes and it reminds me of home (as a South African living in Germany). Your videos are very inspiring :)
I took a 6 month hiatus from film due to changing jobs and locations and just generally lacking motivation to shoot... I'm finally back into it and I've just caught up on your videos that I'd missed and your journey - you're an inspiration in every sense of the word. It's great that you feel your power level increasing too, some of those portraits were absolutely sublime :)
I thought about you a few times since your past video wandering... u know. Anyway super happy to see a video lets put it that way ! Keep getting well and enjoy your life at the fullest
Amazing to see you back and I love those bird photos! God knows it's hard enough to use flash at short distances and hard to nail close focus with animals but you did both! It's fantastic to see you back and looking forward to more content. I wish you all the best and hope to see some road trips in your new car :) Also been rewatching a bunch of your older videos and I'm always just so amazed at the colours you manage to get so beautifully perfect, you've actually inspired me to start putting more effort into sharing my photography and have clear goals and accountability for the photos I shoot. Always going to be here to support and glad to hear you're recovering well from chemotherapy.
Thank you so much for the update, Will! Glad to see you back on your feet again, doing what you love! Also, congrats on the Frontier!! All the best, and welcome back!
So very delighted you are back. Have missed you and your wonderful work, Will. May you go from strength to strength - mentally, physically, spiritually and photographically! 😍
Mate, great to see you back! Those portraits you made are beautiful, I don’t know if it’s South African light but the colour palette in your images is so nice. Glad to see you back and hopefully the darkroom rumour site kept you entertained for a bit 😉
Robbieeeee! Thanks matey, the South African light definitely helps haha! That darkroom rumour site was actually a game changer, I binged so many excellent things on there thank you so much
Will, so great to have you back, RU-vid wasn't the same without you! I loved the bird photos, they could not have been an easy subject. Hope you get the remainder of the way back to 100% soon. You definitely earned the new car!
WILL so good to see you back and I'm glad you're doing better! Those bird photos came out amazing, what flash did you use for those? Is that what's mounted on the cold shoe at 3:02?
Thank you so much! Hoping to get back to pushing myself soon, especially now that I can go anywhere I like in the General (that's my cars name thanks to my friend Asher ahaha)
Thanks for the update, Will. I had been used film camera for 2-3 years and I really enjoy your video, I have RB67 too, and it's my favorite camera. Hope to see you in full strength and get well soon.
Will! So good to see you back man, thoroughly missed your videos. Welcome back and can’t wait to see your images and videos you make. Extremely happy to see you well and back on the road again
Ahoy Phillipp, I’m sorry to hear that man, drop me an email I’ll send you that ebook for free if you like, I find hearing other peoples stories to be helpful somehow and maybe it’ll be the same for you! Also fingers crossed you don’t have to do the chemo, fuck cancer!
@@willysheepskin already ordered that ebook. Love that you put that out there and love your work in general. Getting that diagnoses is quite a hit in the face and plays with your creativity and how you see life. Looking forward seeing your journey and what you will do with your time now. All the best from Austria.
