Montenegro is awesome. In many ways its a little Yugoslavia because you have pieces of many of the old republics in Montenegro. They're very local patriotic too.
"Montenegro seems to be a place where if you spend enough money, you can get a passport." Montenegro used to have a Citizenship by Investment program, but there was a limited number of slots. All of them have been filled, so that ship has sailed.
Ben, im glad you have ventured out of BiH, finally. Lol. Good on you, nice to see you in my moms homeland. Ill be there in 35 days. Id be keen to catch up if you are keen. Safe travels.
Tivat seems like a pretty nice place, even though i haven't been to it, i have only visited Bečići, Budva and Baošići. Montenegro is a great place for summer vacation if you are from the balkans, it's beautiful, and really cheap. Also, glad the surgery went well and best of luck with the 2nd one! Edit: By the way, about the light stores, the part of bosnia where i'm from i have not really seen many stores, but in other parts they really are common, and yes, i'm pretty sure it's a balkans only thing. Edit 2: Rest in peace Mango ❤🕊🕊
Dear Ben, you showed the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's coat of arms on the Tivat monument. The date 29 November 1943 is the date when the Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation of Yugoslavia (Antifašističko Vijeće Narodnog Oslobođenja Jugoslavije or AVNOJ), held at Jajce, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the council created a shadow government to operate after the end of the war.
@@BenTheRules Yes. It all happens in the middle of Second WW on the territory of already ceased to exist Kingdom of South Slavs. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was a country in Southeast and Central Europe that existed from 1918 until 1941. From 1918 to 1929, it was officially called the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, but the term "Yugoslavia" (lit. 'Land of the South Slavs') was its colloquial name due to its origins.
In Montreal there are lots of lighting stores, with all kinds of lamps, lights and chandeliers. Some are Turkish so I wonder if you're right in some sense: maybe it's a remnant of Turkish rule, the coloured interior lighting?
I watched the video about Montenegro like I wasn't there for a whole year in the army, taxi drivers complaining about how life is hard is something that will never change , they been doing that forever and yes free Palestine which if doesn't happen now probably will never happen or at least not in a lifetime
Montenegro is not a post-communist country because Montenegro and Yugoslavia were socialist countries with state but also with private capital and activities such as religious freedom. This taxi driver is bullshitting ... It's not warm for him in Montenegro ;) wtf . You can't imagine how relevant he is as an interlocutor.
I've always been confused whether to refer to Yugoslavia as a socialist or a communist country because like you said, there were some more liberal policies that didn't exist in other communist countries, but at the same time the party was called the Communist Party of Yugoslavia. So sometimes I say socialist and sometimes I say communist, even though I get that it's not the same thing
Boka - Kotorskan as I undestand, has always been predominantly Croatian./Catholic as ...as evidenced by you video of numerous CATHHOLIC Churches & cemetaries...? .....so, why the SERBIAN contentious pretentions of negating the Montenegrian & Croatina.....heritage, Culture and Culture ? ....by saying that MONTENEGRO is part of Serbia ? ...just because they are Orthodox ?
@@aton9755 YES, I agree DEMOGRAPHY is everything !! ....that is WHY the creation of Israel in 1948 is illegitemate ...since Jews have been absent for 2000 years....Like Italians, now they are a very SMALL minority in CROATIA as you call it: "Istra & Dalmacija "...so what is your GRIPE/PROBLEM ? ....it seems that you still hold the old FASCISTIC pretentions & legacy of Mussolini over the Adriatic sea claiming that " Istra & Dalmacija " still belongs to Italy ? mind boggles ?...come on mate !!...get real ....please look at your own country !!! ...probably you are still living with your Nono & Nona ..single NO wife & children ? ITALIANS like most of Western Europe is dying ? yet, you still have the balls & political aspirations of Mussolini to call & claim CROATIAN provinces of Istra & Dalmacija as being Italian ? WoW !..... please read & get yoursel educated before you venture into a geo-political/historical debate ! .........from a retired lawyer & former modern history Profrssor......wish you all the best in your endevour.
