I'm surprised he didn't mention nutrition. My doctor (a neurologist, nutritionist, and chiropractor) realized that my brain was still inflamed and that by changing my diet, a lot of my symptoms (anxiety, chronic stress, persistent pressure headaches) went away. This was after 9 years of post concussion syndrome and of being misdiagnosed with mental illness. Being misdiagnosed and treated for mental illness made my post concussion symptoms far worse.
I had a bad concussion 7 years ago and I was not given any of these tools. I was even told that I should be over this by now...thank you for such compassionate, susinct information. I am currently recovering from my 5th concussion. I am 62. The first one happened when I was 12. I have had depression and anxiety issues most of my life. This video was very helpful in explaining my risk to develop pcs.
I strongly urge anyone who has suffered a head injury to go and do an eye test, i had what i thought was PCS for many months before learning my right eye had been knocked out of alignment which was the cause of my dizzy spells, extreme fatigue and nausea. I got glasses and the symptoms tapered off quickly and now i am 100%.
This might be what i have. Idk yet tho. Its only been a weak. I went to an opthalmologist and regular eye doctor and they told me my eye sight looked fine from a punch but 1 nurse told me my right eye looked as if it im deeper then the other and i can see it
Thank you Doctor from Fergus Canadá No one listened to me ...they won’t even consider my old concussion I will be looking deep into this as well as my nutrition and so on Thank you again for giving me a guidance ...English is my second language and my field are numbers. I never even hear the sentence Post concussion syndrome
Did you try upper cervical chiropractor? It really helped me the problem a lot of time is in the neck being misaligned and blocking off cerebrospinal fluid flow.
