To clean a lentula, wait until the material is set and it will pull off cleanly. The proper speed is 'faster is better' - most people spin it too slowly. The impression material of a post space will not normally tear. However, some newer more rigid impression materials can. If your canal is very long, don't prepare the post space so long - you don't need excess length for retention of a post.
Thank You for that interesting tip. And 1 question: what is the susceptibility of tearing the intracanal part of impression, for example, if canal is too long (palatal canal in upper molars)?
Small question - how do you clean the lentulo? if you have the impression material stuck to it, you can have a problem. I worked as a dental assistant and quickly cleaned it right after the DMD used it. But as a dental student, if I am all alone, what do you recommend? Thanks
just ruined 2 impresions for cast posts, i removed the letullo from the canal without spinning it. 2 times i got air bubbles, hope i remember this tip for the next time!
