Me and my boyfriend used to lay in bed and listen to this song and just talk about everything. He passed away in 2018 4 months after our daughter was born, and I’ve always thought of this as our song. Even had them play it at his funeral. Hurts to listen to this now, but it’ll always be such a special song to me. I always find myself coming back to it. My daughter is 4 now, and she’s the very best thing in the world. I’m so thankful he gave me my daughter. This song reminds me of the relationships I had in my teens to mid twenties, when you’re still figuring out that love doesn’t conquer everything. It’s not a romantic happy ever after and to make it work it takes daily committed work. This song sounds like the first time you start to realise that while you may love someone deeply you two are just not gonna work out. The sadness in knowing you will eventually have to let go, but lying to yourself just a little longer.

For a while I thought he was a pure rap kinda guy. This. Oh god, this is amazing.

I love her so much. She means so much to me. But she doesn’t want me anymore. She’s found someone else. Man, this shit hurts a lot. EDIT: It’s been over a year now and man things have changed. I’m a bigger and stronger person now and it doesn’t hurt as much anymore. My advice to all who are struggling with heartbreak is to keep moving forward. Live and learn from this experience and grow into a better person. Trust me itll be worth it in the end :)

I first heard this song when my boyfriend and I went on a trip right after high school graduation. We escaped hours away from home to the beach and it was bliss. Just me and him driving on a small road while the sun was setting listening to this song. Singing along. Happy. Now there’s a virus and everything is different.

This shows a whole nother side of Post's musical/lyrical side then the old "money, girls, drugs" vibe that he gives. So much more stripped down and beautiful and just human. This and "I Fall Apart" are definitely his best songs.

This reminds me of someone facing a toxic friendship/relationship. The one who tries everything to keep the relationship together and the other person who does nothing but wants to tell that person their problems and expects them to fix it but doesn’t do the same.

I'm amazed that I only found this song recently, this is such an amazing piece of work, reminds me of how hard it was to deal with everything going around me while trying desperately to make things better. The constant fear of safety of the other person and the anxiety I get by thinking the unimaginable, it really makes me feel at peace finding a song that relates to such a strange part of my life.

Just got out of a toxic relationship with the person I loved the most and cared for. I was going to give them another chance. But they made it seem like it was my fault why it wouldn’t work.
