I personally feel we were very naive today and in the end got what we deserved. Dropped far to many points in games where we shouldn’t and if I’m honest we are not good enough for League 1
6 goals conceded in two home games, 20 shots and only 2 goals. Couldnt score against 10 with 25mins left. Walsall have thrown their play off chances away in the last two games but also in stupid ways. Sutton Forest green Colchester Notts county and now bradford and these are only the mast half of the season. The fans deserve it, the clun deserves it, the owners deserve it but there are players who played today who dont.
too many chances have been squandered all season, often a few open goals each match...and often chance creating opportunities have been missed, but they are a team who can cause other teams problems, should have made the play offs, but messed up too many time against bottom teams, today it looked like they were going to do it, but looked disorganized with crosses. It didn't help when Daniels decided to lie down over something minor when Walsall were on top and pressing for a goal, it killed the momentum then Tranmere brought on two subs and then Walsall lost their spark.
Players have give their all this season but we lack the ability to put teams away when we are dominating games and lack the ability to grind out a clean sheet at the back.
Dreadful tactical game management by Sadler and Co. The fans all know that you neutralise Cook and you take away from Bradford 75% of their threat. Just terribly naive. We have The Priest on the bench who could have taken that task. Just watch their second goal and we have the smallest blokes marking Cook. A joke. Missing chances for fun again. Taking 50% of the chances in the last month and we would have cruised into the play offs. Josh Gordon is no striker and Sadler loves him. If he tries to sign him then something is badly wrong.
A lot of possitives from this season our defence needs sorting it's cost us a lot of games but we've showed we can match the bigger teams onwards and up to next season ,again our fans best in the world fantastic support Uts
That game could have been the second game of the season or the last. Same old issues, naive defending, lack of cutting edge. My big worry here is manager and some fans believe we have good defenders at this level and strikers who 'bring more than goals to the team'. Not enough goals, silly goals conceeded all season. Riddle me that.
The team has no consistancy and thats been our problem all season. The way we have played at times we should have at the very least. Our strikers cant score and miss easy chances and our defence falls apart. See you all next season with a hope for better things UTS⚽️
Positive season step forward from the last 5 years of dross believe this is a platform for next season do feel that the Danny Johnson situation has been badly managed become a distraction for sure
I'm not sure about them being 'fantastically gifted', they have played some good football and looked promising at stages, have had some good results and it is an improvement on recent seasons but have also missed loads of easy chances and failed to create chances in dozens of games where they were getting into good positions, they have often been let down by bad passing and bad decision making...too many collapses against bottom teams. Play offs should have been reached this season with the opportunities they have had.
Crap defending once again. Haven't kept many clean sheets all season which sums it up.Totally pissed off.And another season we haven't missed a match. FFS win at Wimbledon. ⚽️
Are you for real, let's not forget he's failed to beat the bottom 2. Gone for 4 at Sutton 5 at mk dons, lost 2 out of the 3 home games this week. The standard of football overall has been dire. The only exceptional thing is how this bloke kept his job after the home defeat to Newport.
@@philipmaddox9944 That is a bit harsh, it is frustrating that they've messed things up, but they have looked good in many games and have given hope of goals (whereas in many seasons gone by, you would be thinking, 'we don't look like scoring'), they have scored many of corners and looked a threat when going forward even if many chances missed in games...there has also appeared to be quite a positive and fighting spirit in the team, at least in some matches. If the team can be kept together, they might be better next season.
It's got to be said that there is the makings of a very good team, but it's the defence that needs sorting out without exception, and then you have to ask the question is Mat the man you trust to bring in the right personnel.
Bottled it again! Very frustrated indeed with this being 2-0 up so early. Stress and pressure crushed us, as always. It was there for the taking, and we get same excuses off Sadler who seems quite calm about it. We will not go up. I'm sorry to say that. Another team building blitz n3xt year, Nd the usual, "new,team needs time,to gel" nonsense. 6 seasons in this league, and I can see another SIX like I predicted. So irritated!!!😢
