Post-structuralism was an intellectual movement that emerged in philosophy and the humanities in the 1960s and 1970s. It challenged the tenets of structuralism. The major theorists were Roland Barthes, Jacques Derrida, Jacques Lacan, Michael Foucault and Julia Kristeva. Jacques Derrida- A French Philosopher, known for his theory of ‘deconstruction’ and the book “Of Grammatology”.
