Thank you Kellylee. My mom and I have been following your music for years. I struggle with the same issue and seeing this has been very inspiring. It's been quite a struggle for myself as well. Proud of you for standing up for women and our bodies and sharing your story with such humility and honesty--we're both the same age!
Thanks so much, Sonia. I was nervous to say anything about it, but reading messages like yours really help me feel better about sharing my story. I hope your situation improves soon!
Thank you so much, Kellylee. Your openness will help a lot of women. I just forwarded this to my own daughter. I wish you good health, and look forward to seeing your show, in Toronto, on May 13th🙏🏾
@@KLEOnline Thanks so much for asking. At first, I was skeptical like what is this and what was really going on with the post-op recovery phase. I continued to bleed on and off for about a month along with the residue from the lining being removed. As of December 20th, 2023, almost 2 months post-op, I stopped bleeding. Praying that my report will be of one who does not get a monthly cycle at all. Ladies, I would truly recommend this surgery as a first level to deal with any of your irregular menstrual challenges. It was not invasive and had a quick recovery time. Just trust the process and pray. My prayers are for each of you who may be seeking a resolution in this area. #DrA
Thanks so much for sharing this!@@DrAngellaBanks I had the same experience of the bleeding just stopping after a few months. It's like night and day and my energy is back for sure. What a blessing.
Kellylee, thanks for sharing. I too have had all of these issues for most of my life: heavy periods (which started early, when I was only 10!), fibroids, anemia at various times in my life. I was just fortunate that none of these got me to the point of needing surgery or more drastic interventions. I'm a few years older than you, over 50, so I am almost "done" with periods (I hope 😀) so I think I should be OK now! I hope you continue to feel better! Take it easy - your past head injuries could certainly make you take longer to recover from the surgery. LC
Hi LC! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I really appreciate it. That's great that you are almost on the other side of it :). Hope it continues to improve for you too. Take care!
Glad you are talking about it. So happy you got the surgery and you are recovering 💓. I had the same thing many years ago, was low iron, anemic, heart pain, lost lots of blood during the cycle time and affected me working , always tired and yet I was not doing much. My doctor diagnosed me and had lots of fibroid. I made the decision to have the surgery. After surgery it was like I had a shot of life. Yes I was emotional after surgery but was the best decision as a Black woman. Our community does not talk about women's body and affects of heavy menstral cycle. It takes many years to gain back what you loose in a year. Take time to recover and let the insides heal. 💓❤️😊🙏🏽🫂 Thanks for sharing your story.
Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing your story with ME, Jacquie. This means so much to me. I'm serious, I didn't get to talk to many people about this while it was happening. Just suffered in silence. So much better to talk about it and reach out. Thank you. 🩷
@@KLEOnline it went great my symptoms are much better.I has a light period the following two months and now no period. I'm glad I did it .I used to have 9/10 pain during my cycle .
Thanks for sharing. I think I recognize that Jamaican accent. So grateful for your story. Just had my ablation done 2 weeks ago and still going through spotting and some cramping on and off. How long did you go through that for? And do you still have periods now? 😊
