Great video explaining post tension concrete construction without being overly technical! I've decided to think of it as spring-loaded concrete :-)

Nice video.. I also work in a Post Tension Company.. The one in this clip is for single strand post tension.. basically they use it in a building.. but i prefer the multi strand post tension,because they are much easier to apply. And it only works for bridges constructions..

I don't understand why their are cables going up and down in this slap to be pulled tight in concete, wouldn't it crack the floor when you do so?

If this is a training video the instructor in it needed to be more specific about the components and what they are called. Live end/dead end anchors, trumpets, grommets, casing, anchor wedges, stressing jack.

Like the instructional aspect of the video, pictures go a long way with instruction...curious if this would be a good system for a 3-story building of mixed use function with a roof top deck using 30 foot spans...?

The post-tensioned cable is pulled and cut-off while the concrete is still setting and not after it has been set correct?

Is the rebar pulled after the concrete is set or during? Thanks

@satutigatujuh Multi strand post tensioning is also common in buildings with concrete beams in them.
