I’m a Sandy Hook survivor. I now live with C-PTSD and it’s affected my life entirely. I lost a friend that day, and yet I feel like one of the “lucky ones”. And while I am sad this happened to her, I am also so glad her story is out and being shared. I wish more people would care to learn and understand about the mental effects of gun violence, especially in the US. So many associate PTSD with only soldiers, but it is so much more than that. My hope is that more people see her story, see the stories of all of us who have been affected by this. Families, too. So proud of this survivor. I hope she’s doing well 💕
