Oh, with people constantly telling them, they definitely know. The thing is they chose to remain buskers rather than going professional to keep the band like this. It gives them the freedom to do things without getting locked in to a professional repertoire.
I Love this band, they're bloody fantastic !! Wonderful how they all tap their feet in time like the pistons going up and down in a smooth running engine. What a delight to watch :O)
If this doesn't make you tap your foot to the beat, then you are already dead! And yes, they're very humble and do not realize how great they truly are! Long live, Tuba Skinny!!!
I'm more of a rock'n blues guy but Tuba Skinny popped up on my recommended a couple of months ago and I've been watching at least one a day ever since. A very talented bunch of musicians!
When this lockdown is over the first item on my agenda is to travel to wherever they are playing and thank them personally for getting me through this virus crap.
It never ceases to amaze me when people just walk by completely oblivious to this wonderful music. Some people are so tied up in these daily little messes that they call their lives, they can't appreciate anything.
Wonder coronet Shaye Cokn, every other performer also wonderful in their own right. Listening to their joyful music eases the suffering of those of us in pain, of any kind. Thank you.
Each one of these musicians are smazing in their own right, but put them all together and you have something totally amazing! You find your foot tapping and fingers snapping along every time. What a talented group of people!
Tuba Skinny, for me the best traditional Dixieland Band from New Orleans (or from the world ??) with the famous ladies Shaye Cohn and Erika Lewis 👏👏🎺🎺🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸❗️
Without forgetting any member of this fine band I woluld like to pay a special attention to that guy on the washboard which he plays with the same amazing feeling as Zutty Singleton his drums.
amazing that young talents like these, have rediscovered and valued an immortal music genre. Congratulations indeed .... it means that not everyone is stoned and that there is still hope .....
I love these guys. Best of the best. Where else can you hear this? I live in Las Vegas and we used to have this decades ago but jazz is pretty much dead here now. Barely has a pulse. Tuba Skinny is Classic jazz! Ain't nothin' like it! They are all soooooo talented.
Absolutamente hermoso y original. Felicitaciones. Creo que me moriré escuchando este tipo de musica. Me encanta la personalidad de todos sus ijntegrantes pero me enamora esa mujer multifacética. Ojalá sigan deletitándonos por muchísimo tiempo más
Oooohhh! Jazz Fest is just around the corner. I cannot wait to eat some crawfish bread, drink some Dixie beer (smuggled in) and listen to Tuba Skinny. Life doesn't get any better!
I am not sure if there is someone different doing the video but I really like the way photographer in this concert would focus in on the individuals as they were playing small segments within the piece. The closeups are great whether on the winds, strings or washboard.
I love the way Shaye leads the band with a simple look at the next person in the queue to take a short solo. 180,000 views but less than 1% of them hit the LIKE button? What's wrong with this picture?
I Think we need a Love Button too :O) I quite often view stuff and think, yeah I quite like that. Then you across come stuff like Tuba Skinny and think OMG that is amazing and "like" isn't strong enough.
Ole "Itchy Ribs" may be a clown, but he makes that washboard sit up and say please. Love this group! Lots of buskers in NOLA trying to imitate Tuba Skinny, but no one can duplicate them.
