What a beautiful page, subject and presentation. So many, far too many, segments on RU-vid and steeped in negativity. Wish there were more subjects such as this. Great work to those who created this magnificent page!

@adelamere1 the UK spell loads of words with OUR (influence from French I believe). Colour (Color) etc etc. Great pics btw!

Hi just wondering if you know how and why certain areas got their names like I grew up in the queens gate area and I’m really interested in finding out if they was any relevance to the names of the Burnley areas like duke bar Burnley wood etc?hope anyone can help me gain a bit more knowledge thx Ian take care all!

In the USA they spell 'neighborhood' but growing up in Burnley (Harle Syke / Lane Head) it's spelt 'neighbourhood'. Aside from that nice one.....

Интересный факт из Википедии,что первые мужские трусы появились только на рубеже 20-30 годов..А на фото конца 19 века и начала 20 века показаны фото футбольных команд..в трусах.Не говоря уже об олимпийцах ..как о средневековых,так и конца 19 века.Хотя,в средние века климат был райский-не было ни зим,ни ночей и Адам с Евой ходили нагими. Не говоря уже,что 20 век появился после первой в истории человечества мировой войны в 1917 году,когда весь мир переходил на новую систему мер и весов (СИ) и новый эталон времени секунда, сутки",связанный с изменением движения небесных тел-солнца и луны,где секунда стала 1/86400 суток,а сутки равны 24 часам. А в 1918-49 годах и на григорианский календарь и хронологию от р.х.
