Latex makes editing documents easier. If you don't have it on your device, there is Overleaf, a cloud service for Latex. They provide different templates for different types of documents, so you can open one and edit as you like.
Adobe Illustrator is great but expensive. In addition you need some experience with the software. Some people uses Powepoint, which has cool design tools too.
